There are six aspects. Among them, obtaining the manifested fruit of liberation is the fruit of means. This is solely the characteristic of the fruit and not the characteristic of the path. The remaining five are the fruit of the three abidings and, being the basis for the fruit of manifested liberation, are associated with the characteristics of the path. Therefore, it should be understood as follows: In order to obtain the very fruit of manifested liberation, one must first rely on obtaining accomplishments to practice liberation, and similarly, one must also practice by relying on obtaining yoga. One must also practice from obtaining the seed of liberation, which is the nature of bodhicitta, and these are all dependent on the power of one, and the other will be accomplished. This will be explained in detail below in the context of the stages of the path. These three supports also commonly arise from all Kriya and Yoga Tantras. Among them, in the Kriya Tantras, it is mostly said that one first relies on obtaining accomplishments to practice liberation, but different doors are also taught. For example, meditation abiding in fire is said to bring about accomplishments. Meditation abiding in sound is said to bring about yoga. Meditation abiding at the edge of sound is said to bring about liberation. In most of the outer and inner Yoga Tantras, it is also said that one primarily focuses on the yoga of being at ease with all mudras, and relies on that to practice accomplishments and liberation. In some, the object of meditation is actually included in the mudra, but without mentioning mudra yoga, it is summarized by the limbs of yoga, such as meditation and summoning and sending, relying on Vajra Subtle Samadhi and so on, to practice accomplishments and liberation. However, in those very tantras, it is also said that by relying on symbols such as the vajra and substances such as the body, one first obtains the Vidyadhara accomplishment, and then relies on that to obtain liberation. It is also said that by relying on the wisdom of the selflessness of phenomena, and the recitation and meditation on it, one applies it to the path itself. Therefore, these three supports should be understood as common to all Kriya and Yoga Tantras.
