It is not so, it is through conceptual thought that one liberates oneself, and this has four kinds of realization, three kinds of purification, and four kinds of equality that merge into the expanse of reality, thereby liberating oneself from samsara and the lower realms. To liberate others with compassion has four meanings: to liberate with skillful means, to liberate with samadhi, to liberate with power, and to liberate with activity. Among these, to liberate with skillful means refers to explaining the Dharma combined with wisdom to those who appear as objects of the senses, such as humans, and leading them onto the path of virtue. Among these, to liberate with samadhi refers to, especially for beings in hell and so on, oneself clearly visualizing as the form of the deity, radiating light from the heart, gathering all beings into the heart with iron hooks and so on, transforming them into the essence of the deity, and then taking them out from the secret path, transforming them into the deity's form, and bestowing blessings and empowerment. To liberate with power refers to creating triangular and other mandalas in places such as charnel grounds, and performing activities relying on things such as extremely sharp, rough, black, poisonous, and white mustard seeds, or drawing effigies on thorny trees and so on, having messengers summon them, and then performing actions such as cutting and burning, and collecting the consciousness into the syllable (Tibetan:) ཧཱུྃ་ (Sanskrit Devanagari:) हूँ (Sanskrit Romanization:) hūṃ (Literal Chinese Meaning:) Hum, and striking it with (Tibetan:) ཕཊ་ (Sanskrit Devanagari:) फट् (Sanskrit Romanization:) phaṭ (Literal Chinese Meaning:) Phat, projecting it into the Akanishta heaven, transforming it into a seed at the union of the five Buddha parents, and giving birth to a Buddha child. Activity liberation has nine aspects: in what way does the teacher liberate, what is liberated, where is it liberated, with what kind of samadhi, in what manner, what result is obtained, if the liberated one is placed in a certain place, what kind of qualities are obtained, if it is not placed in a certain place, what kind of faults will arise, and if it is left unliberated, what kind of faults will occur. One who is skilled in scriptures and oral instructions, who does not violate vows, who has received the empowerment of body, speech, and mind samadhi, whose mind is workable, who possesses wisdom and compassion, who has received inner and outer empowerments, who is able to know where the consciousness of the one being liberated will be reborn, and who is able to cause death and transmigration merely by raising a threatening finger or brandishing a weapon. Common and special. Common refers to beings born in the eight states of unfreedom. Places like the ten Buddha-fields are special. Through possessing the four immeasurables, clearly visualizing as the form of the deity, and through the emanation and reabsorption of mantra recitation, purifying negative karma, and meditating beforehand on samadhi like melting gold.

In the place of non-existence. In the five places of the body, place the five hero seeds, burn the remaining embers of their wisdom, and gather the habitual tendencies of the three doors (body, speech, and mind). Block the doors of arising and cut off the continuation of birth. Consciousness abides in Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ), and is shot into the womb of union by Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Phaṭ). Dedicate the aggregates as offerings and transform consciousness into wisdom, thereby perfecting the two accumulations. Self and others will accumulate the causes of samsara and the lower realms. If one has the power to liberate but does not liberate those who should be liberated, then one has abandoned the work of benefiting beings, which contradicts the teachings of the Mahayana. Breaking the vows that should be kept becomes the root of evil. This was said by the venerable Kunga Nyingpo Acharya Surya Singha said: The union and liberation of self-nature, samadhi, the sense faculties of time and place, the great method, the manifested, the union and liberation perfected in oneself, are shown as six sixes. It is complete. Now, the way in which the path arises in the minds of those who have entered the gate of secret mantra is explained. In general, the essence of the Mahayana path is the union of skillful means and wisdom, but in most secret mantra texts, the essence of the path is said to be the distinction between recitation and practice. Therefore, although the gate of secret mantra has many and vast methods, it can be summarized as the characteristics of recitation and practice. If one wants to understand this path in brief, then understanding the characteristics of the path, the order of the path, and the way the path arises includes everything. Among these, the characteristic of the path is the distinction between recitation and practice. Some say that there are four branches, namely recitation, near recitation, practice, and great practice. Some say that there are three, namely recitation, practice, and great practice, which is a nominal designation. Some say that there are two, namely recitation and practice. Some say that there are subtle accomplishments. Some say that recitation and practice are like armor. Some say that the difference in practice is in the name, divided into practice, subsequent practice, near practice, and great practice, and so on. Similarly, there are union, subsequent union, and so on.
