The second is that it exists as cut off. Saying that it does not give an opportunity. It is not empty of the two, but the two are established as real. Saying that it does not refute. Because the elaboration has not been cut off, the self-awareness of a single moment, which is empty of both mind and mental factors. For what truly exists, it cuts off elaboration and is called self-aware single moment. Where is it? To whom does it appear? Thus, it does not differentiate. It is not self-awareness, but matter. Or, it is not momentary, but permanent. Saying that it does not refute. The Sutra-based Madhyamaka, to the Hearer Sutra-based, does not give an opportunity and does not differentiate, and the way of not refuting is also the same. Regarding the difference between the two Madhyamakas in terms of conventional truth, which is more important, scripture or reasoning? According to the general treatises of the Tantras and Sutras, the general way of reasoning, and the treatises of the Madhyamaka masters, such as the teacher Nagarjuna, who made the fundamental treatises, and Aryadeva, it seems that the treatises of the Yogachara Madhyamaka are more meaningful. All the dharmas of the Madhyamaka treatises, in the ultimate truth, are free from elaboration. Within the scope of the true conventional truth, for the completely afflicted and purified dharmas, the matters of abandoning and adopting each function separately, existing as real. If someone thinks this way, the Tantric practitioners, who believe that all dharmas are of equal nature, say this: "Apart from your ultimate truth, which is free from elaboration, there is a second, even more free from elaboration." Saying that it does not give an opportunity. It is not that the ultimate truth is free from elaboration, but that forms, wisdom, or the splendor of great qualities, such as these, exist as established in the ultimate truth. Saying that it does not refute. Regarding the characteristic of conventional truth, believing in the real that has function, although it cuts off elaboration, the completely afflicted and purified dharmas, based on cause and condition, the characteristic of arising in dependence, called the ability to function. Where is it? To whom does it appear? Thus, it does not differentiate. The dharmas of conventional truth are not the characteristic of arising in dependence, but are self-born and self-established, not relying on conditions. Or, it is manifested by Ishvara, or made by a maker, or arisen without cause and condition, or is of the nature of being transformed by time. It does not refute these statements. The general view of Tantra.
