Its nature is worthy of reliance. This is both definitive scripture and mundane. Among these, definitive scripture is that which was initially revealed. If it is free from superimposition and diminution, the nature of scripture is the very meaning of essential bodhi. Since it is free from manifest phenomena, nothing can indicate it. Therefore, the words of scripture that represent it are also superimposition and diminution, because they deviate from the nature of scripture. Thus it is said. The second is the fault of samadhi. Because the inner is impure and is seized by the disease of external effort, it deviates from the samadhi of equality, which is: Outer and inner are both outer, No part of the profound is perceived, Existence is merely the power of name, Therefore, meditation is separate from equality. Thus it is said. Among these, the outer is the mind of effort that desires to attain the bliss of mind. The inner is the attainment of bliss. The so-called "outer is inner" refers to the display of the reversal of outer and inner. The natural pacification of effort transforms into the inner. Being seized by the bondage of attachment to bliss transforms into the outer. Therefore, one cannot realize the profound meaning, because one is controlled by the bondage of existence. Therefore, it is said: No part of the profound is perceived, Existence is merely the power of name. Therefore, because it deviates from the samadhi of equality, it is said: Therefore, meditation is separate from equality. Thus it is said. The third is the fault of samaya. That is, in the essence of equality, there is no distinction between inner and outer samaya, because all beings are the nature of aggregates and elements. Just as there is no way to transcend that nature, the nature of aggregates and elements is the greatness of the Buddha, so there is no way to transcend it. Just as there is no guarding and not guarding, because inner and outer samaya are shown, it is said that this is a fault. To show this, it is said: Samaya outer and inner, Nature abides like aggregates and elements, Inseparable from them in the three times, Samaya has no name. Thus it is said. Among these, the fault of the cause is: Here, with asceticism and fierce conduct, There is no basis for abiding, If A and Pa are complete with aspects, One desires to generate the bliss of illusion. Thus it is said. For the nature of essential bodhi, which is free from being a place of abiding, with the severity and harshness of external asceticism and fierce vows

There is no basis to be established. However, if one possesses wisdom that is not attached to the meaning of the unborn, merit appears like an illusion. That is its meaning. Having attained samadhi, there are three pitfalls in the realm of results. First, the pitfall of striving with the desire to attain happiness is: Since the nature is not definitely one or many, it appears as it is seen. The mind of wanting to appear, desiring, and striving, and also happiness, that is a great obscuration. Thus it is said. Because the nature of all dharmas is not any kind of real essence, but appears as the mind sees it, it is a mistake to strive hoping to attain the happiness of appearance. Second, the pitfall of subtle characteristics of the limbs of enlightenment is: The door of all the limbs of enlightenment, practicing the ritual is like the moon in water. Although arising without attachment or defilement, practice is like the realm of children. Thus it is said. The characteristic that becomes the door of the limbs of enlightenment, the ritual, any kind included in parts that are complete or incomplete manifests, even if it becomes clear without being defiled by the stain of obscuration, it is merely the manifestation of a characteristic, like the realm of children. Third, the pitfall of coarse characteristics is: With mandala, wrathful wrinkles, ritual, etc., holding the body of the great wrathful lord, even if the letters manifest, one does not see peace itself. Thus it is said. The meaning here is also as before. The word "letter," depending on the context, can refer to dharmata, wisdom, name, and form, etc., but here it refers to the body of the deity. Twenty, that is, twenty in total. About the three pitfalls of dharma. First, dharma does not arise from dharma: Hundreds and thousands of names, no matter how they arise, are just flowers. Because of the power of no characteristic, it will not arise from that place. Thus it is said. The countless dharma doors that are spoken of, all are for the benefit of sentient beings, and generate great merit, but since dharmata has no characteristic, essential dharma will not arise from the dharma of names. Second, dharma does not depend on dharma: Completely perfect without remainder, unchanging and abiding upright, equal in extent like the sky, dharma that depends on others and changes
