When observing, self-arisen wisdom naturally arises at the very moment of manifestation. Otherwise, it is not so. If it becomes a substance of karma, then self-arisen wisdom will never be established. For example, a fire wheel is naturally bright. If the nature of the wheel becomes a substance that is naturally bright, then the self-nature of fire will never be established as luminous. Third, regarding the essence of enlightenment, which is not produced by cause and condition, if one believes that enlightenment is produced by cause and condition and strives for it, it becomes a wrong path. As it is said: "Cause itself is like a vajra to condition, because it is unborn, there is no destruction, from the beginning, the heart essence is enlightenment, the thought of striving does not move the sphere." It is said that the nature that appears as cause and condition, like a vajra, has an indivisible nature, and for that which has no birth or death, there is no place to be moved by the effort of cause and condition. So it is said. Regarding the three wrong paths of meditation, the first is: "The meditation of great qualities, cannot be thought of by meditation itself, without thinking or practice, like the Dharma, wisdom arises from conceptual thought itself." It is said that in the essence of equality, all actions of accumulating merit are not prohibited, and impure actions will also naturally pacify. This is indeed the meditation of great qualities, but if one does not understand it in this way, but dwells in the state of meditation with the intention of purifying afflictions and manifesting and accomplishing qualities, then one will be bound by the disease of acceptance and rejection. Without relying on the effort of thinking and practicing, if one dwells in the uncorrected state, then conceptual thought itself will brightly shine as wisdom. So it is said. The second, subtle wrong path is: "Naming it the subtle door, seeking the path with the solitude of mind, clinging to solitude in the lineage of hermitages, if examined, it becomes conceptual meditation." It is said that the word "subtle" has two meanings. Here, too, it is applied in the same way. Among them, the subtle by being defiled is to take what is without an object as an object, and to see the mind's separation from objects as the path to liberation, and to see the body's separation from busyness as the path to liberation, if examined with subtle intelligence, it is merely conceptual meditation. So it is said. If the word "subtle" is combined with "profound," from the instructions on non-conceptual meditation, non-conceptual.

If someone says, "When meditating, one does not attach to any mental support, does not focus on any object, and does not conceptualize in any way," this indicates that they desire to attain the nature free from the three faults. Therefore, there are subtle aspects of acceptance and rejection. For example, considering the mind devoid of objects and characteristics as the path, and seeking the body devoid of busyness, if examined with meticulous wisdom, this is merely cultivating conceptual thought. The latter view, although a deviation in Dzogchen, is still regarded as a common object of acceptance. The third is the deviation of cause and effect: Naming cause and effect, eliminating both virtue and vice, arising from this world, greatly increasing the courage of acceptance and rejection. Thus it is said. It means that because they see Dharma as cause and effect, and karma as virtue and vice, as truly existing, they are weary of the suffering of samsara. Thinking that they should be liberated from the suffering world and manifest in the dry land of liberation, they abide in the courage of acceptance and rejection. These people mostly enter the Hinayana. Among them, the phrase "eliminating both virtue and vice," from another perspective, refers to stopping both virtue and vice. Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas strive to stop karma, therefore, in order to stop life, they strive to stop karma. In order to stop karma, they strive to stop afflictions. If afflictions cease, one can manifest in the dry land of Nirvana from this world, which is solely a mass of suffering. These people greatly increase the courage of acceptance and rejection. Among the four deviations of the Dharma nature path, the first is seeking the Middle Way, deviating from the non-dual path: Attachment and non-attachment are the path of words, like the Middle Way, like a cliff face, happiness and suffering have a common cause. The Bodhisattva, the protector of beings, said thus. It means that attachment is abiding in desire, that is, worldly people. Non-attachment is liberation from it, that is, Nirvana. These two are the path of words. Thus it is declared. The path of words is the meaning of words. The meaning of words is the realm of conventions. The realm of conventions is without inherent existence. Thus, if both extremes of samsara and Nirvana are without inherent existence, then the Middle Way also
