The word and consciousness of existence show in a way that does not abandon other distinctions; the word and consciousness of being show in a way that abandons other distinctions. Thus, establishing it also depends on the function of two kinds of consciousness. Like this, when establishing as one with the consciousness of grasping as a whole, if the self-nature is established as one, then the dharma and the possessor of dharma also cannot find self-nature differences; dharma and dharma also cannot find self-nature differences. Because the self-nature is established as an entity that exists or is one, its dharma is only the difference and characteristic of that self-nature, and there are no parts of substance in each. In this way, the self-nature is without many parts, and it is established as one entity that exists or is one. Regarding this, when distinguishing with subsequent analytical consciousness, wanting to exist as one generality, because the self-nature is divided into many, the one generality will be destroyed. Because the self-nature is divided into many differences, the self-nature, the one entity without parts, will be destroyed. Because one difference is divided into parts, the entity of one dharma will be destroyed and cannot be established. In this way, gradually distinguishing, the consciousness of one and many, even if distinguished until the end of the kalpa, cannot be reversed. The self-nature of things, like that, establishing as existent, form cannot be exhausted by volume, mind and mental factors cannot be exhausted by types, and ultimately there is no place that will not become like the nature of space. Sometimes abandoning the tendency towards two kinds of consciousness, relying on the parts of both to observe, for formations and their nature of impermanence, both sameness and difference, faults are found, and it is also shown to be liberated from both. Similarly, the nature of other-dependence and perfect establishment is also like that. In this way, all philosophical tenets that cling to things as real, one's own tenet is established by the consciousness of grasping as a whole, that the self-nature is the existence of one entity, other tenets are refuted by subsequent analytical consciousness, establishing as without entity, but no matter how it is established, it has not reached the measure, nor has it exhausted the knowable, it is only a matter of large and small stains. Or like this, self-nature and difference can be established as one, and can also be established as different.

It can be established. It can also be established to be liberated from both. When establishing it as one, it can be that the nature of dharma is one, or that the nature is one dharma. Like this, if all dharmas are regarded as the characteristic of being perfectly established, then these harms of reasoning are merely that you who cling to things as real see each other contradicting each other. These reasonings do not even touch the edge of the Great Perfection's way, just like wanting to measure the depth of the great ocean and the edge of the sky with eyesight. From the teachings of sound, whatever words are spoken, they are nothing more than negating "non-existence" and "non-being," and establishing "existence" and "being." Among them, establishing things is mostly expressed by the conditions that benefit it and the conditions of action. The conditions that benefit it are like this: for example, "having" shows the general characteristic, "what is" shows the nature, and "itself" shows the distinction. The conditions of action are also like this: for example, "causing to go far" is "going far," showing qualities; "causing to go far" is "going far," like this showing qualities, it only shows "existence" and "being," and there is nothing else. Furthermore, merely making an incomplete name complete, and merely having distinctions, is called having the boundary of the function of "is." For example, "the whiteness of cloth," even without the condition of showing "existence" and "being," it does not go beyond that meaning. Furthermore, from the teachings of reasoning, those who engage in refutation and establishment through the four types of reasoning do not go beyond two refutations and two establishments. Even if measured through the four types of reasoning, one can only see that the tenets of those who cling to things as real harm each other, and furthermore, the reasoning itself becomes excessive and instead sees harm. But this does not harm the way of the Great Perfection, as before. Among them, the way of the four types of reasoning is: in general, for the characteristic of establishing that all dharmas arise dependently, establishing from the perspective of nature is the reasoning of the nature of dharma; establishing from the perspective of result is the reasoning of action; establishing from the perspective of cause is the reasoning of dependence; making the reasoning itself without impurity.
