Similarly, from the ultimate point of view, there is no birth or cessation; from the relative point of view, one views the mandala of deities as completely pure illusion; one views the two truths as inseparable; and since all the Great Vehicles are without distinction with regard to the unsurpassed fruit of enlightenment, there is no need to differentiate them, this is their view. However, former teachers made distinctions in subtle ways, namely: In general, the way of the Perfection Vehicle is to view the nature of phenomena as Buddha; the way of phenomenal characteristics is to view whatever appears as merely appearing. The way of definitive sutras and secret mantras is to view the two truths as inseparable, and also to view the five aggregates as Buddha. Also, in the way of secret mantra, the Action Tantra explains that the characteristics of phenomena, the blessed deities, and the emanated deities are no different from the deities of pure nature, so one views them as deities of pure nature. The way of outer yoga is to explain that one views the deities from both the pure nature and the blessed aspects. The way of inner yoga is to explain that one views the deities from all three aspects: pure nature, blessing, and the spontaneously accomplished image mandala. Also, among the three aspects of generation and completion in the inner path, the generation aspect of Mahayoga explains that one views the nature as Buddha from the three aspects of the Buddha who is the cause of arising in this world, the Buddha who is the basis of arising, and the Buddha who is the manifestation of arising. The completion aspect explains that there is no dharma other than one's own awareness, the nature of bodhicitta, and one views that very nature as the great essence of body, speech, and mind, awakened as Buddha, so one views it as the deity. This is how it is explained. The way of the Great Perfection is explained in detail after determining the meaning, because it is the very basis of the composition of this instruction text, and because all other views are merely errors and stepping stones of this, so it is only briefly mentioned. Therefore, in order to determine the meaning of the view of the Great Perfection, which is the basis of the composition here, and in order to show that it can be practiced by future yogis, here is shown the ultimate meaning of the view of the Great Perfection, and the means of practicing and familiarizing oneself with it.

In order to show the fruit and what accompanies the fruit, the principle of the Great Perfection is explained, and in order not to let it fall into emptiness, because the meaning of the Great Perfection is difficult to obtain and is not common to all. Moreover, the teacher who expounds this Dharma, it is not enough to merely understand these principles, but must expound it in conjunction with the capacity of sentient beings. In order to explain these principles, it starts from "The principle of the Great Perfection is..." Here, considering that the meaning of the Great Perfection and its principle are to be briefly explained, it says: "The principle of the Great Perfection is that all dharmas of samsara and nirvana are without difference, and after realizing that the nature of the mandala of body, speech, and mind is primordially existent, one cultivates." Here, all the dharmas of samsara that are defiled in all aspects, including cause and effect, and all the dharmas of nirvana that are purified, including cause and effect, are connected to "without difference." Then, what is the difference? Where and how is there no difference? The so-called difference is the difference in the nature of each dharma. For example, the nature of the ultimate truth and the conventional truth are these, or the nature of the general and the particular are these, or the nature of black and white dharmas are these, etc., all kinds of distinctions of dharmas. Then, where are these without difference? Connect to "without difference in the nature of the mandala of body, speech, and mind." For example, just as all the natures of names established by ordinary people and non-Buddhists, and all the natures of individuals, are summarized by Buddhists as the nature of dharmas and explained without difference. How is there no difference? Because its nature is primordially so, and for it, fabrication and diligence cannot find a gap to fabricate. Therefore, this briefly explains the meaning of the view of the Great Perfection. After realizing this, one cultivates, which briefly explains the principle, that is, like the four realizations that will be explained below.
