Etc., these are not practiced. Among these, "meditating on the form of a deity in conventionality" means: In this context, having bodhicitta and the unity of the three (body, speech, and mind) is said to be a vessel for accomplishment. And the unity of the three, that is, my suchness is: The meaning of the five aggregates, not distinguished by discriminating mind, is called "I." Its suchness is: emptiness, completely imputed by the grasper and the grasped. Mind and mental factors, without merely being self-awareness, cannot be falsely accused; this is my suchness. The suchness of the deity is: the nature of phenomena and sounds, etc., the objects of mantra, known as the six deities, etc. Regarding this, my suchness is like a golden book, and the suchness of the deity is like molten mercury; mixing them, one intends to meditate on the body of the deity. Furthermore, the three suchnesses (body, speech, and mind), that is, the form (wisdom, name, form, mudra. This is a commentary), the three great images, the three focuses, and the recitation with four limbs, are the suchness of recitation. Among these, the three great images are: the body, appearing with marks and signs, is the image of the body; meditating on the moon mandala as the symbol of bodhicitta in its heart is the image of the mind; placing the essence there is the image of speech. The three focuses are: at the time of recitation, focusing on the wisdom being in front, because all three of these images should be the object of focus, they are called the three focuses. The four limbs are: the three focuses and the self, the samaya being, and the reciter, all four are individual limbs of the recitation, hence they are called the four limbs. The two focuses and three limbs, etc., are also included in this. Relying on such samadhi and recitation, and external aids such as images, etc., mainly practicing through purification and asceticism, one hopes to achieve the three kinds of accomplishments, superior, middling, and inferior. Regarding this, in the context of Vajrayana here, only the principles of no arising and ceasing in ultimate truth, and meditating as a deity in conventional truth, are shown separately. As for how to view the purity or impurity of the field of activity in conventional truth, and the differences in results, etc., are not (shown).

Having finished speaking. The meaning of this is: Since it is said to visualize as a deity in conventional truth, it is not necessary to say to view as a deity in conventional truth. Because just as the view determines, so one becomes accustomed to it through meditative stabilization. Because view and meditation cannot be contradictory, because they must possess both wisdom and feet. And the tantric treatises are considered to be objects of practice that are completely pure. So, like meditating on ugliness and so on, are these conceptualized forms also meditated upon as antidotes? The answer is, although it is said that the object of meditation for those who meditate on ugliness is a conceptualized form, and it is said to be an antidote to desire, all the teachings have different intentions depending on the individual. For example, for beings with completely impure objects of practice, for those who share the same karmic destiny, it is said that way when establishing the object of the senses as valid. However, these objects of meditation such as ugliness and decay, if measured by reason and scripture, are not meditations that contradict the nature of things. For example, beings are deluded by four inverted views. What are the four? They are viewing self as permanent, pure, and blissful. And the basis of these views is also fourfold: body, feeling, mind, and phenomena. Specifically, they grasp the impure body as pure, and thus are ignorant and attached; they view painful feelings as pleasurable, and thus are ignorant and attached; they grasp the selfless mind as self, and thus are ignorant and attached; they grasp impermanent phenomena as real and as characteristics, and thus are ignorant and attached. In order to eliminate these four inverted views, it is said to meditate on the four mindfulnesses as antidotes, but they do not contradict the nature of things. For example, the body, through its fullness of flesh, radiance, and shape, becomes an object of desire for those with desire, but the nature of the body, whether in the state of being able to control, being able to enjoy, or decaying, does not go beyond the nature of impurity. All observations about impurity are only about the body itself. For example, the body does not exist apart from the nature of the three humors of wind, bile, and phlegm,
