That is, if one recites with faith and devotion, focusing one's mind, one will attain accomplishment. It does not depend on understanding its meaning. If one recites by changing the pronunciation, there will be no accomplishment. This is because those who have attained accomplishment have not blessed it. Understanding the meaning is also beneficial, in that one will not be confused when engaging in activities, and the dharani of understanding the meaning will arise in one's mindstream. Therefore, a brief explanation of the meaning of these translated into their own terms should be given. Among them, "Om Sarva Tathagata Maha Shri Heruka Maha Tsandha" is the root secret mantra. "Sarva Dushtan Taka Hana Daha Pacha" is the action mantra. "Hum Hum Hum Phet" is the general entry, and the same should be understood for the following ones. The meaning of the letter "Om" is the beginning of the secret mantra, it is reverence and blessing, it is the meaning of the supreme mantra. The detailed meaning is as explained above. "Tatha" means "thusness," and "gata" means realization, speaking, understanding, and so on. Therefore, "Tathagata" is a word representing the lineage. "Shri Heruka," although there are many interpretations, is usually explained as "Glorious Blood-Drinker." How is it explained? "Shri" is a word for auspiciousness, splendor, or goodness. "He" is "He He Krita," meaning to enjoy and frolic. "Ru" is "Rudira," meaning blood. "Ka" is the possessive suffix, which together means to delight in blood, hence it is called "Heruka." Others explain that Ka is Kapala, meaning possessing the asceticism of a skull. Thus, it refers to the ascetic who delights in the blood filling the skull, hence it is called "Heruka." If we explain the parts of the letters, Shri is Adama Shri and Para Shri, explained as the splendor of self and others. He is Heru, meaning cause, and Heka means joy, referring to the non-inverted realization of the meaning of Dharmadhatu. Ru is Raga, meaning attachment, and Rurutra means wrath, thus referring to showing wrath with great compassion from such a state. Ka is Karma, meaning action, and Karuna, meaning compassion, thus the wrathful actions are also treated equally with compassion. Thus, the four letters have eighty sounds.

That which possesses meaning is called Heruka. So it is said in some scriptures. Furthermore, He is the unborn realm, Ru is the non-conceptual mind that holds, and Ka is the non-duality of realm and mind, which is also said to be entering the Dharmakaya. He is love, Ru is compassion, and Ka is joy and equanimity, which is also said to possess the four immeasurables. Another text says: He Heru Ru Ka, with a fierce horse's cry, destroys all the wicked and gladdens the mandala of one's own assembly. Another text says: He is Hetu, referring to the cause; Ru is Rudra, referring to the aggregation of conditions from arising; Ka refers to any Ka-citta. The basis of these letters is A, the door of the unborn. Therefore, any dharma that is separate from cause, separate from aggregation, the meaning of not abiding anywhere, is called Heruka. Another text says: Shri is fortune, the lord of consorts. Heruka is the great bliss bodhicitta, Heruka abiding in Shri. The incomparable teacher Vajra, separating the six-syllable mantra with the sound of A, said it is the sound of realizing the meaning of the unborn dharma. Like these and so on, many explanations are given in various scriptures, but the former Khenpos explained the similar sound as blood-drinking. Maha Tsandha means great wrathful one. Sarva Dushtan means all the wicked, those who have become the object of fierce deeds. Taka or Anataka means to destroy or terminate. Hana Daha Pacha means: strike, burn, cut down. Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: seed syllable) is prostration, mantra blessing, the essence of the heart, the essence of all wrathful deities, the urging of fierce actions, and is known as the gathering mantra, etc. Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese Meaning: liberation) is known as the burning mantra, praising some fierce actions such as killing and expelling. Generally, when Hūṃ Phaṭ are connected, it is said to be the end of a fierce mantra. Apply it similarly to other types as well. The wrathful mothers: Maha Krodheshvari means the great wrathful powerful mother. The powerful mother in that is the part of wisdom, shown as the mudra of the Dharmadhatu. Vajradhara is Vajra Holder. Jwala is flame. Bita Mari Rigma

Oh! Hri Shruta Samanta is the one who frolics everywhere. Kha Hi is the one who begs. Sarva Amogha is the one who accomplishes all meanings. In the mantras of the retinue's mothers, mantras such as "Vajra Koriha" are merely mantras for generation. Om Vajra Koriha. Reciting "So-and-so Hum Dza Dza" transforms it into a mantra for urging action. If Dza Dza Hum is removed, it becomes a mantra for pleasing. Among them, the sound of the letters is, the sound "Ko" has meanings such as possessing treasures, being wise, liking lotuses, and owls. Former teachers explained it as possessing treasures. Ra is the suffix of having, and i is explained as the sign of the feminine. Some say "Go Go Rawa," meaning white. I is the sign of the feminine, explained as white. These goddesses have many meanings, therefore they are explained as a multitude of white ones. If one asks how one word can become multiple words? It is said in the statement that for a very beautiful woman, it is multiple words, such as consorts. This is the best indication. Some say that women use multiple words because they possess the source of Dharma. Former teachers said that initially, at the time of displaying manifestations, it is because they are gathered from numerous manifestations. It has also been said that like this, even the eight mothers, etc., among the impure retinue deities, use multiple words, therefore, this appears to be the same as the mundane. Ha is the seed syllable. Similarly, others should also be understood. The specific meaning is that Tsauri is a thief, i is the sign of the feminine. Pramoha is extreme delusion, leading far away is the sign of the feminine. Betali is a corpse, i is the sign of the feminine. Thus, these four goddesses are also parts of the qualities of the four castes, the one whose bodhicitta is completely pure is white, the one who gathers merits is a thief, the speech that overwhelms with power is extreme delusion, and the action of subduing malicious deeds is the corpse-burning mother. Similarly, Pukkasi and others are the nature of the four times and four wisdoms, Pukkasi is the swollen mother, Ghasmari is the fierce mother, and Chandali is the outcast.
