The non-perception of things as entities is called realizing them as one essence. There are three types of realization through the common and uncommon gates of the Mahayana. Among them, the two that are known as common to the Mahayana are realizing that all phenomena are not separate due to the characteristic of being unborn in ultimate truth, and realizing that they are not separate due to the characteristic of illusion in conventional truth. The very unborn nature appears as various illusions and seems to function, but the illusion itself, as it appears, is without essence because it is unborn. Therefore, realizing that conventional and ultimate are inseparable is the uncommon realization renowned in the profound scriptures. Realization through the form of letters is also realizing that the previous method itself is enlightened as the Dharma of the body, speech, mind, and fruition, which is uncommon. How is it? The unborn is the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: None). A is the indestructible speech that cannot be expressed. Appearing as various illusions is the nature of the letter O (Tibetan: ཨོ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Romanization: o, Literal Chinese meaning: Having, Possessing). O is the lord of miracles, the manifestation of the Buddha's nature, like illusions and moon reflections in water, the indestructible body that is inseparable by enemies. The inseparability of appearance and the unborn is the letter OM (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम्, Sanskrit Romanization: om, Literal Chinese meaning: Om). OM is the manifestation of the nature of knowing all phenomena as non-dual, the indestructible mind. Realizing the blessing is knowing the power and blessing of these two types of realization. Although all phenomena are enlightened from the beginning, they do not seem to benefit beings who do not possess these two types of realization. If one possesses these two, then benefit will appear. Therefore, through the power of these two types of realization, all phenomena appear as if blessed into enlightenment, hence it is called realizing the blessing. Direct realization is generally known as sense perception, etc., but here it refers to the direct perception of the faculty of wisdom. This should be understood as the wisdom that individually realizes. This also has a basis. For example, just as gold is recognized by the three processes of burning, cutting, and polishing, whatever is the non-inverted meaning should also have definitive scriptures and a guru who has attained accomplishments and become learned.
