"Prava" is a word for listening. Unlike the Shravaka Vehicle, it does not rely on the instructions of a spiritual friend; even when attaining the result, it relies on and listens to the Buddha's teachings, hence it is called "Pravaka." Furthermore, "Pravaka" is a word for proclaiming and hearing. Unlike the Pratyekabuddha, it does not teach the Dharma through speech, but proclaims and allows others to hear the result it has attained, hence it is called "Pravaka." Thus, since two meanings cannot be contained in one name, it is established with two names and is called "Shravaka." The Pratyekabuddha Vehicle is as follows: As it says in the same text: "Knowing the inner and outer dependent arising as illusion and mirage, unimpeded entry into material form, not learning from a spiritual friend, realizing with one's own wisdom, going to the place of enlightenment, the supreme of wish-fulfilling bliss." Furthermore, regarding the view, the distinction from the Shravaka is the realization of the absence of self in the skandha of form. The basis of ethics is the same. Regarding the result, there is the distinction of engaging in communal practices, entering (meditation) like a rhinoceros, and attaining the result. Why is it called "Pratyekabuddha"? Because in Sanskrit it is called "Pratyeka Buddha." "Pratyeka" means each individual, oneself. "Buddha" means Buddha. Therefore, unlike the Shravaka, it does not rely on a spiritual friend, but realizes its own enlightenment by itself, hence it is called Pratyekabuddha. Or, unlike the Shravaka, it does not cause others to attain the result it has attained, but does not teach the Dharma through speech, hence it is called Pratyekabuddha. Or, unlike the Bodhisattva, it does not generate the mind of enlightenment for the sake of many sentient beings, but generates the mind for the sake of its own liberation, hence it is called that. Another explanation is that "Pratyaya" means condition, and "Buddha" is a word for realization. When the karma of accumulating merit over many kalpas by the Pratyekabuddha comes to fruition, enlightenment is realized through the power of some condition, and it realizes the causes and conditions of dependent arising, hence it is called Condition-Realizer. The Bodhisattva Vehicle is as follows: As it says in the same text: "Realizing the two selflessnesses, perfecting the Paramitas, the yogi who gradually traverses the ten bhumis, goes to the state of Buddhahood, the path of attaining the state, is attained through the two truths."

O! Why is it called Bodhisattva? It is called Bodhi-sattva. Bodhi is Awa-bodhi, which means to comprehend and realize. Also, Bodhi also means purity and purification, hence it is called Bodhi. Sattva has six meanings: courage, which is anger; bravery and steadfastness; desire; wisdom; sentient beings; and collection. Among them, here it refers to having a firm and unwavering mind for Bodhi, therefore desiring Bodhi, and having Bodhi and sentient beings as the goal, so it is called Bodhisattva. In the Prajnaparamita Sutra, it says: Sentient beings become Bodhi, hence it is called Bodhisattva. In the Unsurpassed Secret Vehicle, the text says: Just like realizing the meaning of equality, self-awareness as the king, and realizing the unsurpassed meaning, in these great skillful means, just like all rivers flowing into the great ocean, all liberation vehicles are included in it. Here, the wisdom of realizing equality and the words of the scriptures that explain it are both explained as vehicles. Generally, the meaning of the word vehicle is: Yana, which is a word that indicates walking, so the form of the word is considered as the path. Through it, one can understand Nirvana, the collection of scriptures, and the content expressed, etc. Dividing the vehicle into five types is only according to what is said in the Guhyasamaja Tantra. According to the general scriptures, the number of vehicles is not fixed. For example, in the Arya Mahamudra Siddha Sutra, it says: The vehicle is one, there are no two or three. Just like the only perfectly complete Buddha. There are also two vehicles, namely the Hinayana and the Mahayana. There are also two, namely the Lakshana Vehicle and the Vajra Vehicle. There are also three vehicles, namely the Sravaka Vehicle, the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle, and the Anuttara Vehicle. There are also four vehicles, as it is said in the vows of the Lotus family such as the Guhyatilaka Jewel Tantra: The three outer, inner, and secret vehicles, one should also uphold the sacred Dharma well. Just like the outer
