This is to ascertain the nature of all things. That is, through statements such as "There is no deterioration from its own nature," it shows the commitment that the nature is not defiled by delusion. In the two ways of true illusion, "I and mine, others do not exist; the completely pure realm of reality is one way." This is a brief explanation of how there is no deterioration. Among them, in the case of truth, that is, the wisdom of the noble ones, the consciousness clinging to self, and mine, that is, the faculties, and others, that is, the objects, do not exist. In the case of illusion, that is, when the consciousness of delusion is in its own state, similarly, I, mine, and others do not exist. Therefore, according to both ways, even the two ways in which they do not exist are inseparable; in the completely pure realm of reality, it is one way. Now, in order to elaborate on this way, first, starting from the way of illusion, to show that they do not exist, first, in order to show that the object that appears as such does not exist, it is explained from "I and mine, others" to "There is no other movement." That is, like this, those who cling to the mind as self, who cling to the faculties as mine, and who cling to the objects as others, are merely inverted thoughts; there is nothing subtle or profound. That is, they are merely inverted thoughts, and apart from that, there is nothing subtle, that is, unseen, or profound, that is, uncomprehended. So, what are these objects and subjects that appear manifestly now? "Inverted thoughts themselves operate, there is no other movement," that is, inverted thoughts appear as if one part is being grasped, and it appears as if the grasper itself is operating, just as another consciousness of an object is moving and entering, there is nothing. So, what is the nature of the basis of appearance, the consciousness itself? "Inverted thoughts, cause and effect continuum, rootless realm, momentary," that is, inverted thoughts are the consciousness and mental factors of the three realms. Its cause is the various conditions. The result is that consciousness and mental factors manifest as their own nature. The continuum is the cause

My fruits appear constantly and without interruption. What is the nature of these? "The ground and root are without basis, the expanse is momentary." This means that if we examine with conceptual thought, the ground and root cannot be established, so it is the very expanse of Dharma. Because it is momentary, it is not appropriate to posit a ground and root. Therefore, even in the state of illusory delusion, self and other cannot be established. Now, to show that even in the time of the wisdom of the noble ones, the appearance of self and other, and the basis of appearance, consciousness itself, cannot be established, it is said: "The nature of the perfectly pure expanse, is self-mastered in itself, because of its self-enjoyment, the stream of self, other, and conceptualization, is called perfectly pure." Like this, even in the nature of the expanse where the defilement of delusion is completely purified, it is only the self-appearance of wisdom. Because wisdom itself is self-mastered and enjoys itself, the appearance of self and other, and the stream of conceptualization, which is the basis of appearance, are also perfectly pure. Thus, just as both mind and the appearance of mind cannot be established as real, both wisdom and the appearance of wisdom are not established as real, so there is no acceptance or rejection, and it is completely pure. Thus, the absence of acceptance and rejection is the supreme path, so it is said to be the supreme of the unsurpassable vehicle. Because it cannot be traversed or practiced, it is both the place of abiding and the fruit. Because those things that arise definitively from it are not the fruit and the place, it is said: "The definitive arising of the four vehicles, abides in the fruit of one vehicle." Therefore, the appearance of various things does not require a ground and support, and if one possesses an undeluded view, then all the oceans of methods will not be wasted, so it is said: "If examined well with correct realization, from no-self-nature, anything can be accomplished." Now, because what was shown above is the meaning of one and the same nature, it is explained that the Buddha does not pass into nirvana, the Dharma does not disappear, and although all dharmas arise, they arise from the Great Perfection and are ultimately established there, and it is explained that all dharmas are merely imputed, and their individual self-natures cannot be established, so it is said, "The Buddha does not completely pass into nirvana," and so on. Among these, the Buddha is mostly in the three kayas...
