Now entering the main subject. Among these, the first to be taught is the illusion of letters. When the Buddha's illusion manifests, it transforms from the formless Dharma into a tangible object, which is the letter. For example, when rain of jewels or pure water falls in the realms of humans and gods, clouds arise from the clear sky due to the movement of the wind. From the clouds, as mentioned before, various lightnings, thunders, and rains descend. Similarly, from the formless Dharmakaya, if moved by the wind of great compassion, the first cloud of letters will arise. Just as the cloud of jewels is the basis for accomplishing all needs, the cloud of precious letters also accomplishes all the needs of activities and attainments. Therefore, the chapter on the illusion of letters and the chapter on accomplishing illusion are taught. Thus, for those who possess the samadhi of illusion, the support and method for accomplishing great attainments are the mandala of samadhi, mantras, and mudras. Therefore, the sixth, seventh, and eighth chapters are taught. The first gate for practitioners to enter is also to receive empowerment based on the mandala of colored powders, which is the ritual of the method for accomplishing attainments. Therefore, the ninth and tenth chapters are taught. For those who are particularly tamed by enjoying desirable qualities, their path is the assembly mandala, so the eleventh and twelfth chapters are taught. In general, excellent yogis must determine everything with instructions, so the thirteenth chapter explains. The song of the fourteenth chapter is a praise of the great mandala mentioned above in an arrogant manner, and these are the complete peaceful mandalas. From the fifteenth chapter onwards, it is the wrathful mandala and its activities, as well as the common vows. The greatness of the tantra is shown in that the common greatness is included in what has been said above, and the greatness of the branches should be understood from the explanation of the meaning of each chapter. Among these, in most tantras and sutras, the words "Thus I have heard, at one time" appear at the beginning.

In this tantra, what is the meaning of "at the time of saying thus," and from what intention is it understood? This is a unique distinction. As such, by saying "Thus I have heard," it is to accurately gather, because it holds the appearance of one's own mind. Thus, the meaning of "thus" also enters into the appearance of one's own mind. It does not accept the way the teacher spoke, because with these meanings, it holds the appearance of one's own mind, and it distinguishes the difference between the teacher and the compiler. The term "at one time" also shows that the occurrence of tantras and sutras is rare, or the great compassion of the teacher, or the supreme wisdom of the compiler, thus showing the completeness of time. Therefore, this meaning transforms as follows: by accurately gathering, placing the meaning of the tantra in the mind without addition or subtraction, and by saying "Thus I have heard," vowing that one is not a transmitter or an explainer, and by saying "at one time," meaning: thus, at one time, this was spoken and heard. At another time, something else was spoken and heard, thus showing the great compassion of the teacher, and that one has heard much. And at another time, this was not spoken or heard, thus showing the rarity of the occurrence of tantras and sutras. Also, "at one time" means not entering gradually, but hearing and grasping in a single moment, thus showing the supremacy of wisdom. Also, hearing at a time when the mind is focused, free from the thoughts of a mind distracted by joy and so on, and a mind weakened by dullness and so on, thus showing that one has heard with wisdom and samadhi. All these will transform. However, this tantra is not for accomplishing such meanings. Therefore, saying "at the time of saying thus" is vowing that it is no different from the intention of the teacher who shows accurate gathering, hence saying "at the time of saying thus." By this meaning, this treatise also becomes a teaching of the ultimate definitive meaning, the supreme intention of the Bhagavan. The compiler also vows to be the Tathagata himself. Not saying "at one time" also indicates that it was spoken equally at all four times. This alone can show the greatness of the tantra and the accurate gathering.
