Furthermore, O son of good family, that which is the Vajrapani empowerment for Samantabhadra is itself called Vajrasattva. For example, when the Bhagavan knew that the time had come to empower the bodhisattva Samantabhadra, he urged him, saying: "Always abiding in the equality of the three times, Vajrasattva, supreme Vajra, please come here!" This is like calling him by name. Similarly, in the Vehicle of Characteristics, the bodhisattva is known as Vajrapani. Therefore, here, this very treatise of the Vehicle of Means is called Vajrasattva, because the meaning that the treatise reveals is also explained by its name. This is the general explanation. In a unique way, the treatises of the Unsurpassed Secret Vehicle hold that the names of the tantra and the teacher are shown in common. Because the nature of the teacher is inseparable, it is expressed by a single word. The inseparability is also because no distinction is perceived in the nature, and merely as an illusion, the great wisdom itself is blessed as the seal of speech. The term "net of illusion" generally refers to the union of skillful means and wisdom. Specifically, it also refers to the illusion of letters. In worldly treatises, the art of illusion is also called "Maya Jala," which is generally explained as the act of displaying various uncertain illusions. Here, it is explained as a term for the non-common union of skillful means and wisdom. That is, all phenomena are nothing, but for the sake of beings, the skillful means of the great beings appear as uncertain things, which is illusion. It itself is a net because it is deceptive. In another way, great compassion holds beings without abandoning them, because it is related. The common explanation in the treatises is: Just as a net is interconnected, all skillful means are grasped by the wisdom without characteristics, and there is nothing unrelated, so it is called the net of illusion. Moreover, mentioning the name of the door of conceptualization is called the determination of the suchness of the secret essence. Among them, the meaning of secret generally refers to what is difficult to understand and what cannot be understood.

, it is the same here. Among these, what is difficult to understand is that the intention of the Buddhas of the three times is so sacred. It is difficult for those without merit and whose minds are untrained to understand with their wisdom, therefore it is called secret. What cannot be understood is that such meanings and wonderful behaviors are not within the scope of worldly people and those of lower vehicles. Because it should be kept secret, it is also called the secret vehicle. Therefore, all secrets are contained within these. There are two types of secrets: hidden secrets and concealed secrets. Because of this, it is said in this scripture: "Revealing the hidden and concealed meanings from within." Like this. Among these, the hidden secret is the excellent view, and the concealed secret is the door of wonderful behavior, which is obvious. As it is said in this scripture: "Without understanding the hidden secret, openly relying on the concealed secret." Because it says so. What the previous Khenpos said, the secret of self-nature, the secret of hiding, the secret of concealing, and the secret of not showing to others, divided into four types, are also included there. The secret of self-nature is further divided into the secret that is originally there, the secret of essence, and the secret of non-duality. The hidden secret is further divided into the intention of the master and disciple and the door of the power of the order of words, two types. The concealed secret is further divided into two ways: word concealment and letter concealment. The secret of not showing to others, for those who have no secret place, whose vows are not mixed, and whose vows have been broken, the object of the secret, the four common secrets, the four intermediate secrets, a total of eight. What should be kept secret and what is secretly entrusted, a total of these ten types are not shown, these are the secrets not shown to others. It is said like this. Even if those are not contradictory in meaning, but if summarized, it seems to be contained in the two types of hiding and concealing. It also appears like this in this scripture, and the Lama also said so, so only these should be known. The so-called essence, in general, is garbha sāra (गर्भ सार, womb essence), because it is the basis of production, it is called essence. garbha hṛdaya (गर्भ हृदय, womb heart), because it is located in the center or becomes the essence.
