Empowerment is bestowed with mandalas and mantras, adorned with symbols representing the illusory nature of phenomena and the manifestation of emptiness, which possesses all supreme qualities. Understanding that clarity is enhanced by emptiness is the wisdom empowerment. The experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality arising in the mind is the fourth empowerment. Ripening the mind into the heart is the completion of the four empowerments based on wisdom. For the sake of bestowing empowerment with the torma, within the vast expanse of the dharmadhatu (Tibetan: དབྱིངས་ཀྱི་བྷཉྫ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: , Literal Chinese Meaning: ), the vessel of space, from the five wisdoms that are the essence of the torma, the self-arisen support and supported of the Guru, Three Roots assembly of deities, are placed in the three places, and with the introduction of the meaning of the words, aspire to empowerment. Recite the empowerment words. Thus, placing the torma on the crown of the head is the vase empowerment. Placing it on the throat and experiencing the torma offering is the secret empowerment. Placing it on the heart and introducing the meaning of the words is: In the torma vessel symbolizing the emptiness of the dharmadhatu, with the great torma symbolizing the five wisdoms, the form of the Three Roots, with the essence of the samaya substances, nectar, radiating clouds of various desirable qualities, empowerment is bestowed. Through the fierce radiance of the union of dharmadhatu and wisdom, the hand mudra, the mothers and dakinis are subdued. Understanding that it symbolizes innate wisdom is the wisdom empowerment. From this, the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality arises, which is the fourth empowerment. Making abandonment and realization complete is the completion of the four empowerments based on the merit torma. For the sake of bestowing the empowerment of the Guru's image, this form is the complete enjoyment body that self-arises from the unborn dharmadhatu, the Maha Guru Orgyen (Uddiyana) so-and-so, the embodiment of the Three Roots, the wisdom body that manifests as clouds of emanations pervading the sky, subduing all. Placing you in the three places and arousing the samaya with a song of longing, aspire to empowerment with the introduction of the meaning of the words. Recite the empowerment words. Thus, the image clearly manifesting as the wisdom body, placing it on the crown of the head is the vase empowerment. Placing it on the throat is the secret empowerment. Placing it on the heart and introducing the inseparability of the lama and one's own mind is: The nature of mind, the inconceivable wisdom, clear and knowing, uncompounded. Symbolizing abiding from the beginning in the essence of the four bodies of the lama, empowerment is bestowed by the Guru's image.

Urgyen said: The essence of self-awareness, never tainted by the bonds of the two obscurations, symbolizes the Dharmakaya Samantabhadra and Padmasambhava residing as one, yet to purify the stains of sudden appearances. The symbolic guru blesses my and the disciples' continuums, knowing this to be the empowerment of wisdom and knowledge. From this arises the experience of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, which is the fourth empowerment. To accomplish the activity of taming beings, the four empowerments are completed based on the activity body mask. Through these means, among the five root empowerments, the twenty aspects distinguished by the determination of the four branch empowerments are called enlightenment. By bestowing the great empowerment of the guru in the manner of a common empowerment, the blessings of the four empowerments' realization will be attained in a breakthrough manner. Then, regarding the necessity of body, speech, and mind empowerments, the body, speech, and mind empowerments are conferred in succession. First, to bestow the empowerment of the deity's body mudra, the guru and the mandala lord are non-dual, and from each of their hearts emanates a second wisdom body identical to themselves, like one lamp generating a second lamp. It dissolves into each of your bodies, and you should visualize being blessed as inseparable from the wisdom body of each deity. The body empowerment is conferred. From now on, all phenomena that appear in this way are purified into the body of the guru, the vidyadhara, the great magical net mandala, the wheel of empty appearance deities. To bestow the transmission of mantra recitation, from the heart seed-syllable and mantra garland of the guru and the mandala lords, a second mantra garland arises, emerges from the mouth, and enters each of your mouths. Visualize the seed-syllable in your heart residing at the end of the color of your life-force syllable, and the garland of mantra recitation residing in your throat, thereby receiving the empowerment. Recite the words of the text. From now on, all sounds of movement and stillness are purified into the essence of indestructible vajra speech, inseparable from sound and emptiness. To introduce the mind of luminosity, the suchness itself, all elaborations represented by the deity and mantra recognize as the self-display of self-awareness in an instant, thereby making the nature of mind naked as emptiness, and the radiance of awareness manifest clearly, the two being inseparable.
