Those who possess it, do not deviate even slightly from the Vajra Master's instructions, and do not harbor even a trace of wrong views or contempt. If you do, you will experience the suffering of the Vajra Hell. Therefore, be sure to understand this oath established by the Master with stern commands. Recite the text. This water of oath, blessed continuously from the primordial protector Vajrasattva, is given to your tongues and enters the center of your hearts. If you abide by the oath, you will transform into the nature of a wisdom being and grant all accomplishments. If you break the oath, the Yaksha will become wrathful as Vajra, causing great suffering in both this life and the next. The Vajra oath-water is the judging witness that distinguishes between good and evil. By earnestly bestowing it, the key points of both benefits and drawbacks are revealed, thereby establishing the oath. This is the giving of oath-water with vows, etc. Or, from the Protector Great Bliss, this nectar-water of unbroken vows, passing through the vajra tongue, dwells in the heart center as the form of a wisdom being. If you keep the vows, you will be blessed; if you do not, the vajra will become wrathful as a yaksha and inflict the punishment of the command. Understand this meaning! Recite the text and give the oath-water. Or, this given vajra oath-water abides in the heart, and if you keep the oath, you will transform into a wisdom being who is a protector and refuge; if you break it, you will transform into a yaksha and suck your heart's blood. Understand this meaning! Or, by giving this nectar-water of vows, the blessings of the great glorious wisdom being enter your heart, and you will effortlessly attain both common and supreme accomplishments. If you violate the oath, you will become a life-cutting demon and executioner, and in this life you will suffer unbearable visible consequences, and in the next life you will be burned by the fires of the Avici Hell. Therefore, like a judging witness distinguishing between good and evil, the oath is established by showing both benefits and drawbacks.
