As before. Kyeho! Vajra Acharya, etc., three times. Having made such a request beforehand, there are two parts to the actual empowerment. First, to examine the vessel, the eight lower vehicles are drawn in one by one, and the vessel of the mind is examined through questions and answers. Explaining the meaning of the view, meditation, conduct, and result of each vehicle, and accordingly bestowing the empowerment to practice those respective teachings. Therefore, having entered the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles, the empowerment to meditate on the path of the Four Noble Truths and the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination is bestowed. Please lend your ears to what I say and keep the meaning in your hearts. Ho! Sons of the lineage, etc., enjoy it in your continuum. Interjection. In response, one should say this: Kyeho! Vajra Holder, etc., once. If so, then this empowerment is bestowed to enter this vehicle, which is superior to those in terms of cause, method, and result. Therefore, practice this kind of path properly. Kyeho, sons of the lineage! Then, the Two Truths, etc., Bodhicitta, until the accomplishment of Anu Yoga. Is this the intermediate connection? Those who elaborate can bestow them in order at appropriate times. Second, the unsurpassed Ati empowerment has three parts. First, the preliminary is to offer nine prostrations as a special offering to request the meaning. Visualize offering a mandala of precious gold, offer the mandala. With reverence in the three doors, repeat this prayer. Kyeho! Lama Vajra, etc., three times. Again, visualize offering wealth such as precious gold, turquoise, etc., and a mind-created mandala, like a manifestation of the aspirations of Samantabhadra, to the supreme Lama Vajra Acharya. Joining your palms with reverence, pray with earnestness, and repeat this prayer. Emaho! I and the Buddhas, etc., three times. If so, then can you abide by and protect such an unsurpassed king of vows? The Acharya holds the hands of a main disciple. Ho! Everything from the beginning, etc., can you protect its meaning? Interjection. With the intention to truly protect the great vows as stated, join your palms and promise, and repeat this prayer. Kyeho! From the beginningless, etc.

Nyenpo Tsung! Secondly, the vase empowerment with elaborate preliminary practices. First, in order to tame the continuum, the master himself takes refuge and generates bodhicitta, takes vows, accumulates merit, and offers mandalas, like the terma three-collection empowerment ritual "Opening the Door to Clear Light," which includes the Three Roots in their entirety. You should sit in the seven-point posture of Vairochana. Let the flow of speech and wind remain in its natural state. Cut off the elaborations of the mind in the three times, and without being distracted by aimless, unfocused staring, remain without any object of focus. From the emptiness of the vase itself, the syllable BHRUM (Tibetan: བྷྲཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूम, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: bhrūṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Bhrum) dissolves, etc. As the stream of nectar descends, place it on the disciple's head and bestow empowerment. By sprinkling the vase water, believe that you have realized the meaning of self-awareness and wisdom, which is beyond expression. OM (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om)! Samsara and nirvana are non-dual, etc., PHAT (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: Phat)! Recite this and remain in equipoise. Thirdly, the actual stage of introducing awareness. In the presence of the first Buddha, Samantabhadra, who is in meditative equipoise, and the consort Samantabhadri, who are inseparable, in order to request the introduction to the meaning of the symbols of view, meditation, conduct, and result, with genuine devotion and longing, repeat after me this supplication: HO! Show the meaning of awareness, etc. Thus, as the master travels back and forth in the expanse of space, the symbol of space being without beginning or end and without the tracks of birds represents the great expanse of primordial, self-aware, unlocalized emptiness, untouched by mental fabrication. The nature is clear and compassion is all-pervasive, the state of self-illuminating awareness, primordially liberated. In order to introduce the state of the view of primordial purity, appearances arise. Remain in equipoise in the state of knowing the abiding of the ground, the state of possessing the three wisdoms in this way. With the right hand in the gesture of pointing to the sky, make a gesture like the tracks of birds, and with a clear and pure voice, recite: Sarva Tathā (Tibetan: སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: सर्वतथा, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: sarvatathā, literal Chinese meaning: All Tathagatas), etc. HO! Primordially unborn, etc., ALA LA (Tibetan: ཨ་ལ་ལ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अलल, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: alala, literal Chinese meaning: Ala La)! Recite in between, and remain in equipoise for a moment. Meditation is the symbol of remaining in the natural state, like a clear, unmoving ocean, where everything above, below, and in between is one in the nature of water. The white and red appearances are the external mind. The moving awareness is the internal mind. The faculties of the five senses are the intermediate mind. Dualistic thoughts and the unstated are all of one taste in the empty, clear, non-grasping awareness, the mind of bodhi.
