From the Tantra of the Hand, it speaks of "Subduer, what is to be subdued, and the means of subduing." The first of these is: In the 'Clear Illumination of the Vajra Samaya of Beauty,' it says, "Through familiarity with the connection of view, conduct, and samadhi." Its meaning is: the body as the deity's form, speech beyond words, and the mind fearless in its unborn state—these are the three fearlessnesses. The view is free from extremes, meditation transcends thought, and conduct is the confidence of spontaneous arising—these are the three confidences. Wisdom is sharper than a spear, piercing through external arrogance; wisdom is like a whetstone, cutting through internal afflictions; wisdom is like the force of the wind, destroying the clouds of conceptual thoughts, possessing such vigor—these are the three vigors. One must possess these nine qualities of fearlessness, confidence, and vigor. The objects to be subdued are the two: enemies and obstacles. Enemies are those who have transformed into the ten directions, as the 'Clear Illumination' says: "The enemy of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, violating vows, holding wrong views, and contending, harming in gatherings and universally harming, the enemy of vows possessing evil characteristics, the three lower realms and these ten, all yogis should accept." Also, as the tantra says, practicing the ten non-virtuous actions and the five heinous crimes. For obstacles, they are explained in six stages, such as determining their number. The means of subduing are the three: substances, mantras, and samadhi. Substances are divided into three: offerings, supports, and subduing substances. The former two have common and specific aspects, while the latter includes categories such as places, corpse mud, holes, lingams, life stones, divisions, subduing, and torma. Mantras are divided into three: definitions, methods of establishment, and recitation mantras. Samadhi is divided into three: the samadhi of the deity, mantra, and substances, ensuring that they are unmixed, unerring, and complete. As that tantra says: "Mantras are the weapons of poison, samadhi clearly sends them to their place, substances are the helpers of skillful means. Possessing these three, even the gods, there is no doubt, will be truly liberated." Generally, the hand gestures of wrathful activity are said to be ten in number, namely: killing, hail, omens, protection, repulsion, suppression, throwing, and burning. In all of these, one must avoid the three faults of perversion, inferiority, and mixture. For activities of benefit and harm, five kinds of assistance are shown, five kinds of poisons are abandoned, and five kinds of ornaments are applied, which must be highly valued. Among these, what will be discussed here is the main content of the forceful activity, which is first to protect oneself by entering the vajra fortress, ensuring that the three doors of body, speech, and mind, along with their enjoyments, are indestructible, and to array the vajra army to repel adverse conditions and obstacles, thereby...

Transforming the power of retaliatory curses into self-destruction, based on the fortress of the Dharma of View, the perilous path of meditation Samadhi, and the life of action, great compassion. The key to non-reversal is that oneself is clearly manifest as glorious Heruka. Because of non-cowardice, it is clearly manifest as Vajrakilaya, the supreme son. Because of non-confusion, it is clearly manifest as the actual Linga slayer, possessing the meaning of the three life empowerments and the three bath empowerments, performing the actions of planting, liberating, and offering, nourishing oneself with life essence, transferring consciousness to kill enemies, offering flesh and blood to the deities, and being in accordance with the key of the fruit of liberation through the three entanglements. The deity statue, body and mind, flesh and bones—the distinction of these three unions is the ritual of the action of killing. Thus, the main activities of manifest action are the three: pacifying, increasing, subjugating, and destroying, and the culmination of these three is: pacifying is done by suppressing, increasing by throwing, and destroying by gathering through burning. The reason for these is also that pacifying protects from obstructing unfavorable forces, and suppressing binds all the power and energy of the opponent, so they are related. For example, surrounding a fortress with iron fences and imprisoning hostile thieves are both the immediate causes of protecting oneself, and their meanings are the same. Subjugating makes all adverse circumstances and harms unable to approach and keeps them far away, and throwing destroys them completely with a dart, so they are related. For example, when enemy forces invade, first deploy troops, and finally engage in battle and destroy the attackers. Killing is the transference of the consciousness of the one to be liberated, and the liberation of the form into the aggregate, that itself. Offering the faces of the deities to the fire makes them very pleased, and in general, the power of all actions is quickly produced by burning and offering, like sharpening a blade with a whetstone. The necessity of manifest action is also as stated in the tantras: The ten who hold wrong views should be liberated. If they are not liberated, they will wander in samsara. Having liberated them, transfer their place and attain happiness. Both oneself and others will manifestly attain enlightenment, and be liberated from the waters of samsara. As the Clear Lamp says: Increase the practice of Bodhi, benefit sentient beings, please the deities, fulfill one's own vows, reduce the continuation of bad karma, habitual tendencies, and suffering, and from one's own unmindful lower realms, there is no other path to happiness than this. Sixth, the Great Seal profound practice has two parts: a brief explanation.
