Entering the Prajnaparamita takes a long time to reach the end, and one is confused due to obstacles. However, the mantra practitioner, through the inner means of wisdom and skillful means, the samadhi of union, can quickly perfect these, and therefore is not confused. The former, in taming one affliction and accomplishing one wish, must also rely for a long time on asceticism, discipline, and other not-so-profound means, only able to attend to one aspect. The mantra practitioner, through the generation stage, completion stage, and limbs, each of the many methods can easily accomplish the meaning, therefore the means are profound and numerous. The former finds it difficult to find a means to accomplish the fruit that is in accordance with their respective minds, therefore it must be accomplished with great difficulty. The mantra practitioner can find easy means that are in accordance with the differences of place, time, situation, and faculties, and even transform bondage into liberation, therefore they can easily accomplish the fruit, so there is no difficulty. Those of the Lesser Vehicle are dull in faculties because they do not understand the means, and those of the Prajnaparamita are of middling faculties because they are confused about the means. The mantra practitioner can transform even actions that would lead to evil destinies into enlightenment through the difference of means. The former only engages in dualistic grasping and rejection, while the mantra practitioner knows the supreme, non-dual truth, seeing the outer world and inner beings as the great light of purity and equality, therefore there is no grasping or rejection, and they can transform all appearances into the path, therefore they are superior because they have sharp faculties. Furthermore, there are many ways in which they are superior, such as six, seven, and twelve. The reason for entering this path is that the Victorious One, considering the antidotes, spoke of the eighty-four thousand collections of teachings. These can be summarized as the twelve branches of scripture. These can be further summarized as the nine vehicles. These can be further summarized as the three or four pitakas, etc. All of these are merely stepping stones to entering the Unsurpassed Yoga. Even those who have reached the pinnacle of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers will eventually be obscured by the great rays of light of the Buddha and must then enter the Great Vehicle. Bodhisattvas and the three outer tantras can reach the position of the Great Regent, the tenth bhumi, but to attain Great Enlightenment, not only must they abandon the subtle conceptualizations that bind them to samsara, but they must also completely abandon the appearances of the three existences or the imprints of transference. The antidote to abandoning these is the union of the fourth empowerment path, the unchanging great bliss, self-awareness...

Since it is wisdom itself, it is not taught apart from Anuttarayoga. No matter which vehicle one enters from, one must ultimately enter the path of Anuttarayoga. Moreover, since the meanings of the earlier vehicles are included in the later ones, this vehicle itself is the pinnacle and ultimate of the teachings and all the stages of the vehicles. As the Guhyagarbha Tantra says: "This essence of secret nature, of all the pitakas and all the tantras, is definitely established as the source." And as the Explanatory Tantra says: "The king of self-awareness who realizes the meaning of equality, just as all rivers flow into the great ocean, in these great methods that realize the meaning of the unsurpassed, all immeasurable liberation vehicles are included." Second, regarding the planting of seeds, there are two parts: briefly indicating it by naming it, and explaining its meaning in detail. The first is: starting with "Then," etc., one verse appears, taking the training of the mindstream through the common path as a prerequisite, from then on, the order of planting the seeds of Buddhahood in one's own mindstream at the beginning of entering the uncommon path is as follows. Second, there are two parts: the actual method of planting seeds, and indicating its life-force samaya. The first also has three parts: the object to be empowered, the empowerment to be given, and the manner in which it is given. The first is: "From that to the fortunate one..." It is said that the object of planting seeds is: As it says in the Ornament: "With wisdom, one does not abide in existence, and with compassion, one does not abide in peace." Thus, with wisdom and compassion, one must necessarily be liberated from the two extremes of existence and peace, thereby urging on the mindstream and possessing the lineage of the Great Vehicle, the sign of which is, as it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Before the application, there is compassion, faith and patience, virtuous conduct is definitely taught as the sign of the lineage." That is to say, awakened by the causes of hearing and so forth, one who is well-versed in the ways of the two kinds of precious Bodhicitta, conventional and ultimate, without regard to the length and effort of three countless eons and so forth, but wishing to accomplish and attain the state of Buddhahood for the benefit of sentient beings in a short time such as one lifetime, is the vessel for planting the seed of maturation.
