In summary, there are three main points: Cultivate the cause by intensely meditating on love and compassion. Cultivate the essence of the mind by taking and giving rise to bodhicitta six times day and night. Cultivate the conduct by dedicating virtuous deeds to the benefit of others and diligently engaging in the practice of giving happiness and taking suffering. As Shantideva said, "Those who wish to quickly protect themselves and others should practice the secret and supreme conduct of exchanging themselves for others." Therefore, it is crucial to train in the profound mind training of exchanging self and others. The reason for this is: "All the happiness in the world comes from the desire for others' happiness; all the suffering in the world comes from the desire for one's own happiness." And, "If one does not exchange one's own happiness for the suffering of others, one will not only fail to attain Buddhahood, but there will also be no happiness even in samsara." As shown from both positive and negative perspectives, the method is: "Give the victory and gain to others, and take the loss and defeat upon oneself." According to this meaning, for all sentient beings who have been our mothers, filling the sky, we should take upon ourselves, without hesitation, joyfully and enthusiastically, all the causes accumulated since beginningless time—karma and afflictions—and all the suffering experiences in body and mind as a result. And we should generate the intention to give each and every one of the six types of beings all the roots of virtue of pure white deeds accumulated since beginningless time, and all the happiness experiences in body and mind as a result. These should be practiced as stated in the Seven Points of Mind Training: "Practice taking and giving alternately; practice these by riding the breath." Whatever good or bad, happy or sad, high or low circumstances may arise, we should don the great armor that cannot be taken away by adverse conditions, and single-mindedly cultivate the conventional bodhicitta based on compassion, so that it arises, becomes stable, and continuously increases. Second, the ultimate bodhicitta is taught in three parts: determining through view, practicing through meditation, and explaining the result and summarizing. The first part is further divided into four points: establishing that external objects of grasping are without inherent existence, establishing that the internal grasper and the self of the person are without inherent existence,
