Wear the armor of not being discouraged by things like long time and difficulty in accomplishing, and the second is, regarding abandoning afflictions, accomplishing good deeds, and doing things that benefit others, not being distracted for even a क्षण (Tibetan, Devanagari, kṣaṇa, Romanized Sanskrit, moment) day and night, constantly respectfully, without wavering, without turning back, without arrogance, initiating diligence, and the third is, regarding things that benefit other sentient beings in a direct and indirect way, even if only a little is accomplished, even if one has to stay in the lower realms for a ब्कल्प (Tibetan, Devanagari, kalpa, Romanized Sanskrit, kalpa), abandon the mind of discouragement and fatigue, and first accomplish that thing. The fifth nature of meditation is: the nature of mental virtue abiding inwardly in one-pointedness. The behavior is that one's own mind is accompanied by agitation, which is the root of all harm and suffering, so with a mind that wants to manifest the bliss of pacifying discrimination, the body is separated from noise, the mind is separated from discrimination, cultivating causes such as contentment with few desires, and having previously done things such as abandoning the five faults and relying on the eight practices, etc. If the actual meditation is classified, there are three types: dwelling in the bliss of the present life, accomplishing qualities, and accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings. The first is, relying on the nine methods of abiding in the mind, tasting the bliss of physical and mental pliancy that is free from all discrimination and without arrogance, this is a meditation that is common with the worldly path. It is the basis for the arising of all qualities, so it must be grasped as the basis. Among them, there are differences between the preliminary and the actual from the first dhyana to the fourth dhyana, etc. The second is, in order to obtain above the actual first dhyana, one must cultivate worldly higher insight with seven mental activities, so it includes both meditative quiescence and subsequent higher insight as the main focus. Common with the Hearers are the ten pervasions, the eight victories, and the eight liberations, etc., and uncommon are the liberations and the infinite gates of samadhi that are beyond the scope of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, thoroughly cultivating and perfecting the accumulation and application. The third is, from then until the path of seeing, obtaining the samadhi of the noble ones is called the undefiled or Tathagata good meditation. By its power, the infinite arrangement of bodies is emanated, and the eleven benefits to others, etc., are only the realm of the Tathagatas.

Therefore, the Ratnagotravibhāga states: "This conduct of a Bodhisattva is unparalleled in the world, both in terms of the Buddhas attained afterward and in truly liberating beings." As stated in such passages. All the perfections up to this point must be embraced by the wisdom that does not conceptualize the three spheres, without attachment or expectation, and ultimately expanded by the dedication that does not conceptualize. It must also possess the means of purification through emptiness and compassion. Sixth, the nature of wisdom is the intelligence that thoroughly distinguishes all phenomena, which is actually included in the ground of the actual Buddha. However, how does one generate wisdom here through the intelligence that individually analyzes its causes? Nagarjuna said: "That which increases wisdom is listening; if there are thought and these two, then from that, meditation will arise; from that, one will obtain the unsurpassed accomplishment." As stated, one should gradually generate the three wisdoms of listening, contemplation, and meditation. First, one must fully comprehend all the words and terms of the knowable phenomena through the wisdom of listening. Among these, there are worldly wisdoms such as grammar, logic, crafts, and so on; and understanding the well-spoken teachings of the scriptures and commentaries, which are called transcendent wisdom by applying the name of the result to the cause. In short, one should engage in unbiased listening without ignorance of any knowable object. Second, one should not leave listening as merely following the faith of fools, but in between, one should contemplate and examine in detail with the thought that does not remain merely in the general meaning. With valid scriptures, the logic of reality, and the means of establishing without contradiction, one should properly seek the understanding of profound meanings such as the two truths, definitive and provisional meanings, and so on. Third, one should ultimately apply the method of gaining certainty through listening and contemplation to one's own mindstream through the door of acceptance and rejection, and especially cultivate the meaning of the view with one-pointedness. By cultivating, one should take it to heart, not merely remaining in words and mental speculation, but actually manifesting the realization of the true nature of reality. The detailed meaning of these is as explained in texts such as the Ornament of the Sutras. In summary, the definition of the six perfections is: any discipline practiced by a Bodhisattva, which possesses four characteristics, and all virtuous actions encompassed by the six perfections such as generosity, are in accordance with the mind of accomplishing.
