Those who practice like La are few! Instead of that, rely on view and meditation, and welcome with Dharma practice; don't put the Dharma book on the shelf, but put it in your heart; support upwards with view and meditation, and climb downwards with Dharma practice, (this way) you won't become a Buddha, there's nowhere to go. (Guru Padmasambhava said) Padmasambhava's advice to Jomo Kharchen Zatsog, about the practice of daily Dharma. Written on the first day of the middle summer month of the Year of the Rabbit (no specific year), in the secluded cave of Chimpu Rock. Treasure seal, hidden seal, entrusted seal. Namo Guru (Tibetan, Devanagari, guru, Homage to the Guru). Padmasambhava, the emanation, said to Jomo Kharchen Zatsog: Teaching on the arising and reversing of samsara. Samsara has no beginning and no end. Initially, there is no saying that samsara starts from here. Finally, there is no saying that samsara ends here. The nature of samsara is the suffering of samsara. The place of samsara is the six realms. The way of samsara is the four: birth, old age, sickness, and death. The power of samsara is the continuation of suffering. The way to be liberated from samsara is to practice the holy Dharma properly, and you will be liberated. (Padmasambhava) said so. Again, Guru Padmasambhava said: Tsogyal, listen! Those who do not remember death will never have Dharma. You must practice remembering death. (Padmasambhava) said so. Those who do not remember death will have a strong attachment to this world. Among them, first is the external impermanence: wherever you are, when you look at a cherished person, how does the state of not being sick change to the state of being sick? When not sick, the complexion is radiant, but as soon as they get sick, their teeth become dirty, their lips crack, their complexion disappears, and they become dark. Apply these back to yourself, and you will surely become like this. Then, when alive, because you are cherished by everyone, all your relatives surround you, giving you food and letting you live; after death, no one needs you. That aggregate of form, it's better to take it out quickly. Just like that, look at the dead person, thinking that you cannot escape this fate either. Then, when the corpse is carried out and taken to the cemetery, seeing the appearance of the corpse rotting and unrotted, etc., think that you cannot escape this fate either. Also, when you see your relatives, neighbors, neighbors, friends, etc. die, also put yourself in their place, and you cannot escape this fate either.

Has passed away. Guru Rinpoche said, it is appropriate to realize that life is exhausted due to the changing seasons such as autumn and spring. Therefore, for those who are ignorant, the thought of death does not arise in their minds. Guru Rinpoche said, Tsogyal (མཚོ་རྒྱལ) did not even perceive the momentary impermanence. From the time I was born until now, life has been exhausted with each moment. In the past, so much life has been exhausted, and I have lived for so many years. Now, even if I can live to a certain lifespan, or live longer, it is still being exhausted with each moment. Guru Rinpoche said, with each moment passing, I am approaching death, so I will die quickly. Just like taking livestock and other creatures to the slaughterhouse, each step is approaching death, so I am also approaching death. Guru Rinpoche said, in reality, life passes in a moment like the shadow of the sun, not staying for even a moment, this is truly terrifying. Guru Rinpoche said, Tsogyal (མཚོ་རྒྱལ), all people do not perceive the continuous impermanence. From the time I was born from my mother until now, both day and night are exhausting life. In the past, so much life has been exhausted, and even if I can live longer, life is exhausted by day and night. Today has passed, tonight has passed, one day has passed, one sigh, two days have passed, two sighs. In this way, day and night pass with sighs, and I will not live long before I die. In reality, life seems to be exhausted every day, but people are calculating the length of the sun and the length of the night. The lengthening of the sun and night does not benefit my life. Guru Rinpoche also said, people do not perceive impermanence. One's own life is like a boat in the ocean without a rudder, the demon of the Lord of Death is like the flow of water in the ocean, one is like a tree on a cliff, and the demon of the Lord of Death is like the flow of water at the edge of the cliff, constantly eroding. One's own life is like a feather stuck on an arrow, and the demon of the Lord of Death shakes it like a cold wind. One's own life runs away like a wounded deer, and the demon of the Lord of Death chases after it like a hunting dog. In reality, people do not see the passing of their own lives, but feel great sorrow for the death of others.
