Pages 579 to 678. Pages 579 to 678. No birth, no death, is the Bodhichitta; no good, no evil, is the Alaya, beyond mind. In that state, do not meditate as if throwing a huge stone into water, nor be distracted like a common person stretching and bending their arms. In the ground of no meditation, abide naturally in your own state. In that state, even if you stay for a moment at the time of death, you will not be reborn even if you have committed the five uninterrupted crimes. In the state of Dharmakaya, free from elaboration, awareness vanishes and one becomes a Buddha. This is the instruction for a great sinner to go on the shortcut path. This is my, Tsogyal's, heartfelt advice, do not let it leak to others! Guru Rinpoche said: There is an instruction to quickly transform ordinary consciousness. Jomo asked, "How should one settle the mind of a child?" Like a great ocean unmoved by the wind, the nature of reality remains unmoving. Likewise, settle the mind without any movement. Like a bird flying in the sky, settle without a trace. Like cutting water with a sword, settle the mind without a trace. Since all appearances are mind, there is no need to meditate elsewhere. Since the mind has no substance, there is no need to meditate on the mind itself. Since the characteristics of both appearance and mind cannot be examined, there is no need to meditate on either appearance or mind. That which is without meditation is not the mind of sentient beings, but the mind of the Buddhas. This is the instruction to transform ordinary consciousness into the mind of the Buddhas. This is my, Tsogyal's, heartfelt advice, do not let it leak to others! Guru Rinpoche said: To mix the mind of the Buddhas with the mind of sentient beings, one must possess fifteen kinds of bliss. Jomo asked, "What are these fifteen kinds of bliss?" Knowing that all phenomena and existence are mind, there is bliss in being without bias. Knowing the nature of mind as whatever it is, there is bliss in whatever is labeled. Since there is no acceptance or rejection in that, there is bliss in equanimity. Since there is no partiality or bias, there is bliss in non-duality. Since it is spontaneously accomplished, there is bliss in not searching. Since there is no affirmation or negation in that, there is bliss in the state of equanimity. Since phenomena and existence are primordially enlightened, there is bliss in the great self. Since the nature is spontaneously accomplished, there is bliss in having nothing to attain. Since it abides in the unconditioned state, there is bliss in the nature itself. Since it is free from the duality of grasping and being grasped, there is bliss in the state of purity. Since there is no object of focus in that, there is bliss in the state of equanimity. Not taken from elsewhere.

Since there is nothing, it is blissful in the great state of non-attainment; since there are no doors or paths on the path, it is blissful to abide without contrivance; since there is no high or low in the place, it is blissful to be in the original place without searching; since there is no change in the ground, it is blissful to abide in its own nature; this instruction endowed with fifteen kinds of bliss is my, Tso-gyal's, heart advice; do not let it be lost to others! From the mouth of the master Padmasambhava: Buddha is not elsewhere, Tso-gyal, realize your own mind! Realization alone is not enough, you must meditate, so Tso-gyal, generate diligence in practice! Practice alone is not enough, bring forth the signs of warmth! Tso-gyal, if obstacles are brought by demons, even if it is the master, do not listen if he turns you away from the Dharma! Tso-gyal, even if the power and wealth of this life are complete, know that it is like an illusion! Tso-gyal, the next life is longer than this life, so generate diligence in the Dharma! Tso-gyal, even if you are very intelligent, you will come back empty-handed, experience the master's instructions! Tso-gyal, since it leads the way to liberation, always rely on the master! Tso-gyal, without Dharma, life is empty, dedicate your life to the Dharma! Tso-gyal, there is nothing deeper than these heart words of mine, Tso-gyal, keep them in mind! So he said. I, like Kharchen Tso-gyal, followed as a servant from the age of thirteen, heard many precious instructions, and in particular heard some especially profound heart commitments. Although I sealed them and hid them in my heart, I thought of the words of the incarnate one and the benefit of beings, and after asking the master three times for permission, I wrote them down and hid them as treasure. May I meet one with karma and fortune! Do not let it be lost to bad vessels without vows! Do not let it be lost to those who break vows and steal teachings! Do not let it be lost to the shameless Dharma pretenders! Do not let it be lost to the ignorant slanderers! Do not let it be lost to the false livelihood practitioners who use the Dharma for their own benefit! Do not let it be lost to those who are black-hearted and sweet-tongued! Do not let it be lost to the false Dharma practitioners who sell instructions as merchandise! Do not let it be lost to those who claim realization without realization! Do not let it be lost to those who take excerpts and crave books! May I meet one of good lineage and noble family! May I meet one who is broad-minded and gentle-spoken! May I meet one without deceit and doubt! May I meet one who is intelligent and wise! May I meet one who has practiced in the past and has karma! May I meet one fortunate yogi! Practice!
