In the way of the Great Perfection, during the time of listening to wisdom, one does not understand the meaning of reality, does not realize it, does not know it, and does not determine it. Like a Shravaka, one does not abandon afflictions; like a Pratyekabuddha, one does not stop them; like a Bodhisattva, one does not tame them; like outer and inner Mantras, one does not transform them; like an ordinary person, one does not carry them as one pleases. Then, is there no need for listening and explaining? No. In order to counteract the eighty-four thousand afflictions, eighty-four thousand Dharma doors were taught, and this is not contradictory. The root of the eighty-four thousand afflictions is the five poisons, the root of the five poisons is the three poisons, the root of the three poisons is the duality of grasping and being grasped, the root of that is the consciousness of self-grasping, the basis of that is the one non-existent Dharma, the one Dharma of Nirvana, the one Dharma of equality, the one indivisible Dharmadhatu. Therefore, during the time of the Great Perfection, through the Tantras and the Guru's instructions, falsehood and untruth are revealed. If one recognizes a fault as a fault, one will not follow the fault. Attachment begins with the subtle mind, and reversal begins with the gross body. It is said that when the five senses know without attachment to appearances, and the nature of attachment and aversion is liberated, it is like a person with vomiting sickness seeing food. When there is no attachment to the constant self-grasping, it is like throwing rotten food into the garbage. When there is no attachment to appearances, and the nature of appearances, emptiness, is liberated in its own place, it is like appearances in a foggy land. When the nature of memory is pacified, and it is liberated in its own place in non-memory, it is like the cessation of hail. The attachment and aversion of the consciousness of the five senses, pleasant and unpleasant, beautiful and ugly, etc., will cease. The discrimination of consciousness returns from the discrimination of objects, or from the afflicted mind grasping at self, giving rise to self-grasping, arrogance, or conceit. The Alaya consciousness, returning from subtle thoughts, the first feeling, and severing the continuation of power, from then on is called Buddha. It is said that this is the best method of liberation. The method of liberation at the time of death is: death or being struck by illness, the earth element being too great to support the body, when earth dissolves into water, one cannot exhale and inhale. When water dissolves into fire, the mouth and nose become dry, and both exhalation and inhalation become short. When fire dissolves into wind, consciousness becomes confused.

Afterwards, frivolous words will come. When the breath dissolves into consciousness, consciousness will waver in the bardo. At that time, the method of liberation is that if a teacher or Dharma friend has knowledge of the key points, they should give a hint; if not, one should cut off attachment and aversion oneself. First, when attachment and aversion cease, realization ceases; when appearance ceases, memory ceases. This is said to be the way of liberation for those of middling faculties. The way of liberation in the bardo is: for example, it is like sleep. It is said that just as one suddenly wakes up from sleep and consciousness becomes blurred and wavering; similarly, when the breath becomes calm and clear, consciousness wavers in the bardo. At that moment, the teacher and Dharma friends should shout loudly at the corpse and give instructions. There, for those who have the strength of previous practice, by the sound of the hint, they realize that self-grasping is not real; because there is no flesh and blood body, it is very easy to be liberated. When self-grasping is liberated, external appearances will not arise; when external appearances do not arise, attachment and aversion will not arise. When attachment and aversion do not arise, one will not take a body; if one does not take a body, there is no death and annihilation. That is called the intention of the Buddha. That is said to be the liberation of the bardo method. Thus, through the three methods of liberation, turning away from the city of the six realms, by reversing the connection of samsara, it is said that one should turn away from samsara. Guru Padmasambhava's instructions to Lady Kharchenza Tsoyal: The chapter on the arising and ceasing of samsara is complete. Treasure seal. Secret seal. Entrustment seal. Guru Padmasambhava, residing in various forms, from the Vinaya of the Shravakas to the vows of the Vidyadharas, protects in a way that does not guard; speech speaks the nine successive vehicles from the mouth, therefore the view rises upwards and the conduct enters downwards, relying on the union of view and conduct; mind possesses the intention of knowing all things, therefore towards all sentient beings, the mind of enlightenment cherishes others even more than oneself; from the mouth of the incarnate Lord Buddha, Lady Tsoyal recorded the instructions on conduct that were spoken. Guru Padmasambhava said: Whatever Dharma you do, first taking refuge in the Three Jewels in advance, those who have properly taken the basis of training, wherever they go, the Buddhas and
