From the mouth of Laku: In the beginning, there is no cause created; in the middle, it is not changed by conditions; in the end, it is not destroyed by antidotes. Do not be arrogant like a Buddha, do not be cunning like sentient beings. Confusion is sentient beings, liberation is Buddha. It is called the reality of the base. It is called the self-born wisdom. It is called the suchness of mantra. It is called the non-duality of the two truths of mantra. This is called the state of abiding in the base. This is the root of both samsara and nirvana. Then Jomo asked: What is the nature of confusion? He replied: From the base that is nothing, it is confused by the three obscurations. The obscuration of mind is like the sudden arising of the awareness of self-grasping from the state of emptiness, like dry lightning. The obscuration of speech, cutting off my object, is like the lightning of drizzle. The obscuration of body, attachment, hatred, and strife, is like the lightning of hail. At the time of the obscuration of mind, grasping at self is the affliction of desire. At the time of the obscuration of speech, cutting off my object is the affliction of anger. At the time of the obscuration of body, attachment, hatred, and strife, grasping at duality from the non-duality of me and mine is ignorance. The three poisons are the cause of generating samsara. The conditions are pride and jealousy. The alaya that accumulates grasping, when looking inward, grasping at will is pride. When observing outward, losing oneself in displeasure is jealousy. From these five afflictions, the five elements arise: from anger arises fire (藏文:ས,梵文天城体:स,梵文罗马拟音:sa,汉语字面意思:火), from desire arises water (藏文:ཆུ,梵文天城体:ज,梵文罗马拟音:ja,汉语字面意思:水), from pride arises earth (藏文:མེ,梵文天城体:अग्नि,梵文罗马拟音:agni,汉语字面意思:火), from jealousy arises wind (藏文:རླུང,梵文天城体:वायु,梵文罗马拟音:vāyu,汉语字面意思:风), from ignorance arises space (藏文:ནམ་མཁའ,梵文天城体:आकाश,梵文罗马拟音:ākāśa,汉语字面意思:虚空). Thus, the outer world is formed. Because stability is obtained, the inner five elements are formed: from anger arises bone, from desire arises blood, from ignorance arises flesh, from pride arises warmth, from jealousy arises breath. Thus, forming and clinging, the body is taken in the manner of the four births: from ignorance, born from inner moisture; from pride, born from inner egg; from anger, born from inner warmth and moisture; from desire, born from inner womb. There, after taking the body of fruition, mixing the thoughts of fruition, my father and my mother, and relatives and retinue, root and branch, and place, realm, and home.

arises, from the root of samsara, the trunk, branches, and fruits ripen. Due to attachment and clinging to it, it is called "existence" and "bardo." Having abandoned the previous body, and before obtaining the next body, it is like a dream, with all faculties complete, so there is no obstruction to land, stones, mountains, and rocks. It has the flesh and blood of the previous form of "existence." Because delusion continues uninterrupted, it is not named "Buddha." Because there is no flesh and blood, it is not named "sentient being." It is also not given the name "arising," it is not as stable as before, it is vague and uncertain, like a dream. So, if it is given a name, it is called "wandering Alaya consciousness." Due to previous attachment to desire, the red wind of karma pushes from behind, and the darkness of the eon meets from the front. The sound of "རྒྱོབ་སོད་(Tibetan)" is emitted, or countless discordant sounds are produced, and so on. There, the city of samsara of the six realms of beings appears, wanting a refuge, so they think that parents and relatives are satisfactory, or they think that it is their own house, or they want to go there, and such thoughts arise. Once they go to a refuge, due to the influence of good and bad karma, they enter the six realms, obtain a body, and revolve from one to another like the handle of a water bucket. This is how samsara revolves, as the Blessed One said. Jomo asked the incarnate master: What is the way to be liberated? The master replied: To liberate it, although eighty-four thousand afflictions have been spoken of, they have not become a method of liberation. Wanting to abide in the true nature, wanting to realize, wanting to practice, wanting to understand, wanting to ascertain, therefore, remaining on the basis of action, it contradicts non-action. For those five afflictions, the Shravakas want to abandon, the Pratyekabuddhas want to prevent, the Mind-Only or Madhyamikas want to purify, and the outer and inner Mantras consider them as causes. Therefore, the actor remains on the basis, and accumulates the obscurations of knowledge on top of all afflictions. First, from the obscuration of mind to the last obscuration of knowledge, one must understand the way of delusion, as the Blessed One said. Then, there are three dharmas regarding the way of liberation: the method of liberation of the path, the method of liberation of time, and the method of liberation of the bardo. Among them, the method of liberation of the path is perfection.
