impermanent. Moreover, abiding in and practicing the common tenets of the vehicle is seen as having both hope and doubt. The aspiration of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana is: without hope and doubt, like the path of a bird. Without traversing the five paths, one enters the ultimate path. Without aspiration, one goes to the path of Buddhahood. Therefore, the meaning of the mind of enlightenment is not mistaken, the nature of reality is spontaneously accomplished, and merely recognizing this, there is no hope of attaining Buddhahood, nor is there doubt of falling into samsara. Therefore, aspiration is primordially pure, and primordially untraversable. Thus, realizing and understanding this, it is said that all aspirations are grasped in their essence. The teacher said. Jomo asked the teacher: Where is the essence of all meditation concentrated? The teacher replied: All meditation is concentrated in the uncorrected, non-meditative state, and all other meditations are changing and impermanent. In the state of non-meditation, meditate without thought. The meditator abides in the uncorrected state. There is no reason to meditate. There is no meditator who meditates. Realizing that there is nothing, is the essence of meditation. The common vehicle meditates with effort, but because it is bound by the object of effortful practice, it is not said to be liberated. Therefore, if one understands non-meditation as self-illuminating, it is said that all meditation is grasped in its essence. The teacher said. Jomo asked the teacher: Where is the essence of all actions concentrated? The teacher replied: The essence of all actions is non-action. All other actions are changing and impermanent. By not seeking action and abiding in it, all actions are accomplished. Following after mind and habitual tendencies is the common vehicle of sentient beings practicing in the law of cause and effect. So, what is it? Action without hope and doubt, no matter how one practices all dharmas, by not seeking and abiding equally, being free from the desire of effortful attachment, no matter how things appear and are remembered, abiding in the effortless, equal nature of reality, is the action of the Buddhas. Thus, realizing and understanding this, it is said that all actions are grasped in their essence. The teacher said. Jomo asked the teacher: Where is the essence of all fruits concentrated? The teacher replied: The essence of all fruits is concentrated in the perfectly complete Buddha. All other fruits are changing and

In general, (the master) said to meditate by leaving the three doors relaxed. Jomo asked the master: When meditating, what is the method of settling the mind? The master said: When meditating, relax the body and mind, and there is no need to analyze all dharmas. Cut off the continuity of mind and mental factors, and do not specifically prevent them. Abandon all grasping and fixation, and do not think about anything. Let your own nature appear as it is, and rest in the real nature without moving anywhere. Therefore, at that time, since the knower and the known are not seen separately, do not look outward at the object, do not look inward with the knower, and do not observe whether they are both not. Do not throw the object outward, and do not prevent thoughts inward, so that the mind itself is clear and bright, and rests in a state where it does not cling to anything. The faults that are incompatible with this are agitation, dullness, and clinging. Among them, agitation is the mind wandering outward. The remedy for this is: relax the body and mind, and rest in samadhi, rest again and again. If there are still various thoughts following and wandering, then repeatedly follow that wandering awareness. If this still cannot be controlled and it wanders, then observe where the thoughts that wander like clouds in the sky come from, where they wander, and how they stay, and let them arise and subside on their own. Because the thought itself is empty, even if it wanders intermittently, it will not cause any harm, and there is no need to specifically prevent the thought. This is the key to collecting agitation and wandering. Dullness is like entering a dark cave, or closing your eyes. The remedy for this is to wake up through walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, and to engage in dharma practice and physical exercises, etc. To wake up through samadhi is to meditate on the sky itself, to meditate on the spine stacked like wheels, and to meditate on awareness as the sky. The key to waking up through the key is to meditate by following the object, and to make the senses clear. This is the key to waking up dullness. Foginess is when the mind enters a state of vagueness, or when awareness disappears like a mixture with no memory, then do not meditate, rest first, and then meditate later. This is the key to abandoning dullness. The fault of clinging is: when practicing the nature of dharma, if you cling to practicing any non-clinging state, that is a fault. Existence, non-existence, permanence, annihilation, inconsistency, and antidotes, etc.
