Ra re! Guru Padmasambhava said: There are six uncommon dharmas. Jomo asked: Similarly, what are your thoughts for the disciple? He replied: In the emptiness of dharmata, do not cultivate the mind that thinks it is empty because it is not clean with the contents of objects; Naked awareness, do not adorn it with the clothes of characteristics, abandon attachment to objects; The original nature of mind, do not hold onto the basis of attachment and aversion, do not have attachment and arrogance; In pure wisdom, do not create thoughts of virtue and vice; Know that there is no abandonment or acceptance, and that it is pure in its own place; The self-liberated characteristics, do not bind them with the knot of ego; Primordially empty, primordially free, do not grasp objects and characteristics, rest in self-nature, self-purified. Tso-gyal! These six uncommon dharmas are my heart words, do not reveal them to others. Ra re! Guru Padmasambhava said: Introducing the Buddha is enough. Jomo asked: Similarly, what are your thoughts for the disciple? He replied: Appearances abide in emptiness, therefore introduce it in the mind; The ultimate truth of mind, nothing is established, therefore introduce that which transcends the mind as the Dharmakaya; The self-luminous nature of mind is great bliss; The unborn one, introduce it as the Sambhogakaya; This awareness, as it is, appears and knows, introduce it as the Nirmanakaya; Knowing that the three bodies exist within oneself, teaching is just teaching; Seeing is just seeing; At that very moment, it is realized; The fruit is also spontaneously accomplished; Without hope or fear, therefore do not take a body; When you die, it is called enlightenment. Tso-gyal! This instruction on introducing the Buddha is my heart word, do not reveal it to others. Ra re! Guru Padmasambhava said: There is an instruction on recognizing the Buddha. Jomo asked: Similarly, what are your thoughts for the disciple? He replied: The nature of mind is Buddha from the very beginning, without gathering or scattering, knowing that it is free from all elaboration, that is the view; In that state, whatever four actions are done, abide in the state of uncreated, real, natural, and unadorned, that is meditation; In that state, whatever Dharma practice is done, do not separate from that state, and act without clinging to anything, that is action; Upwards, there is no hope for the Buddha, downwards, there is no fear of samsara, realizing self-born, spontaneous accomplishment, unborn, that is the result. Tso-gyal! That is the instruction on recognizing the Buddha! It is my

This is my heart-speech, do not reveal it to others! Guru Rinpoche said: There is a way to become enlightened without meditation. Jomo asked her son if he kept it in mind, and the son replied: One's own mind, fundamentally, no thing is established, so there is nothing to meditate on. Furthermore, the nature of mind has no basis, transcends the names of things and appearances, there is not even a speck to meditate on, and there is not even a moment of distraction towards the realm of things or appearances. Do not regard enlightenment as a virtue, do not regard samsara as a fault! Tsogyal, this pith instruction on becoming enlightened without meditation is my heart-speech, do not reveal it to others! Guru Rinpoche said: There is a key instruction for the most sinful to become enlightened first. Jomo asked her son if he kept it in mind, and the son replied: One's own mind, no essence is established, it cannot be shown to others as "like this." The essence is inherently empty, not tainted by the faults of good and evil. If one looks inward with consciousness towards the alaya, leaving the imprints of good and evil, it becomes the cause of higher realms and lower realms. Therefore, the nature of mind is impossible to meditate on, like the sky; impossible to express, because consciousness is separated from form; not in the dharmadhatu, it dissolves into the dharmadhatu; impossible to express, it transcends the realm of action and effort.
