Unestablished, it abides in the mind. The mind abides in emptiness. Emptiness abides in bliss. That is the key to suffering entering into bliss. Extremely important, entrusted to you, Tsogyal. The Lady asked the Master: Where is the boundary between good and evil? The Master said: What is called good is the completely white side. What is called evil is the black, ripening side. When practicing this in the continuum, all actions and their ripening are unified in the state of bodhicitta. The mind is originally completely pure, not tainted by the faults or merits of good or bad actions. The mind is emptiness, without accumulated ripening. Therefore, the key to evil entering into good is like this. Extremely important, entrusted to you, Tsogyal. The Lady asked the Master: Where is the boundary between the mind of the Buddha and the mind of sentient beings? The Master said: The mind of the Buddha is unchanging in its essence. The mind of sentient beings is inconstant. When practicing this, the inconstant mind of sentient beings, because it has not been transformed by the nature of mind, does not establish the nature of anything, it is the true, original, self-born great essence. When abiding in that state, it is called abiding in the intention of the Buddha. This key to purifying the mind of sentient beings into the intention of the Buddha is extremely important, entrusted to you, Tsogyal. The Lady asked the Master: Where is the boundary between gods and demons? The Master said: What is called a god is one who has abandoned the intention to harm. What is called a demon is one who has the intention to harm. When practicing this in the continuum, the awareness that clings to gods and demons abides in one's own conceptual thoughts. When observing the mind, it does not establish as real, it abides in emptiness. Right there, the flow of thoughts of gods and demons stops, therefore the key to gods and demons liberating in their own place is like this. Extremely important, entrusted to you, Tsogyal. The Lady asked the Master: Where is the boundary between enemy and child? The Master said: What is called an enemy is clinging to wrong views. What is called a child is cherishing with compassion. When practicing this in the continuum, when looking to the right, one sees an enemy, when looking to the left, one sees a child. When observing the mind, clinging to an enemy is also the mind, clinging to a child is also the mind, the grasper and the grasped.

Looking inward, the basis and substance of enemies and children are non-existent. That very non-existence is the key to the natural liberation of enemies. Extremely important, Tso-gyal, entrust it to you. Jomo asked the master: What is the boundary between wealth and non-wealth? The master said: What is called wealth is what is needed and clung to; what is called non-wealth is what is not needed and is cut off without clinging. When practicing this in the continuum, looking to the right, one sees gold; looking to the left, it is equal to a clod of earth. Clinging to gold and cutting off a clod of earth, both are integrated into one's own mind. Since the nature of mind itself has no substance, gold and a clod of earth are equal. That is the key to realizing that gold and a clod of earth are not different. Extremely important, Tso-gyal, entrust it to you. Jomo asked the master: What is the boundary between the apprehended and the apprehender? The master said: What is called the apprehended is clinging to external objects as real; what is called the apprehender is clinging to internal mind in a mistaken way. When practicing this in the continuum, looking outward at the object of the apprehended, appearances are empty in their own place; looking inward at the mind of the apprehender, the mind appears as without substance. As soon as one realizes this, the key is that the apprehended and the apprehender, appearance and emptiness, are integrated into non-duality. Extremely important, Tso-gyal, entrust it to you. Jomo asked the master: What is the boundary between acceptance and rejection? The master said: What is called acceptance is what is not abandoned by the mind but kept in mind; what is called rejection is what is cut off by the mind. When practicing this in the continuum, because one knows the suffering of samsara in one's mind, one knows that nothing is necessary, and thus one is free from the actions and thoughts of worldly people; because one has turned away from samsara, one knows that nothing is necessary. Knowing that there is no acceptance or rejection, that is the key to the natural liberation of acceptance and rejection. Extremely important, Tso-gyal, entrust it to you. Jomo asked the master: What is the boundary between conceptual thought and non-conceptual thought? The master said: What is called conceptual thought is remembering and keeping in mind; what is called non-conceptual thought is not keeping anything in mind. Non-conceptual thought is clinging to movement as self-purified. When practicing this in the continuum, whatever conceptual thought arises, one does not abandon it or change it, but it is naturally clear.
