After that, carefully observe the painted image and meditate. That is, alternately meditate on non-conceptualization and looking at the painted image, and meditate. Regarding changes in body size, changes in clothing, changes in posture, and changes in shape, visualize the body as substantial, with pigeons entering and exiting from the nostrils, and birds, sheep, and deer playing on the limbs, visualizing it like a platform. Regarding changes in number, first visualize one or two, or visualize according to the limited number. When only color appears, clearly establish the shape. If blood, bile, etc., change color due to the heat of the humors, such as turning yellow or red, perform a ritual to harmonize the humors. If it gradually becomes blurred, then clearly focus on the face and hands. For incomplete parts, clearly visualize the body as complete, with complete ornaments and clothing. Or clearly visualize any incomplete part. In short, no matter what defects arise, do not pay attention to them, but meditate. Then, after realizing emptiness, look at the form of the deity and focus your mind to meditate, (the master) said. Jomo asked the master: How to separate from the deity? The master said: The mantra for separating from the deity is: before eliminating those faults of meditating on the deity, by practicing non-conceptualization, the deity will appear clearly, so alternately practice the deity and non-conceptualization. When the deity appears clearly without any faults, separate from non-conceptualization and only meditate on the deity itself. Then, the arising of the deity: from the clear appearance without any faults, visualize the deity standing up. Sitting, lying down, lying on the back, lying on the stomach, in the mountains, on the plains, near, far, in the middle of rocks, in the middle of water, etc., wherever you want to meditate, (it) is guiding the deity onto the path, (the master) said. Jomo asked the master: How to merge with the deity? The master said: That is, dissolve the arisen deity into oneself. Visualize oneself as a single deity, or visualize the arising of a complete mandala and pure land, and meditate. Then, applying the deity to meaning: visualize oneself as the stable deity, and visualize one's own mind and the eight aggregates of consciousness as appearing as the deity's form and wisdom. In reality, awareness is the self-born wisdom of bodhicitta, the nature of the fruition. The deity has not come from anywhere, and appears without inherent existence, therefore it is a non-dual form. That is, appearing as the deity's form is like the vajra of body, speech, and mind.

Appearing without inherent existence is non-attachment. Although the nature of mind appears as a deity, it is without inherent existence, constant, and inexpressible, hence it is called the Dharmakaya. Thus, the yogi who diligently studies the meaning abides in the six vows of meditation: not interrupting the longing for the guru who reveals the oral instructions; relying on the conducive conditions for samadhi; abandoning unfavorable conditions; not abandoning samadhi in all activities; not abandoning the yidam until the end; keeping secret which deity one meditates on; not meditating on the yidam with a mind of acceptance and rejection. Whatever deity one meditates on, one is meditating on all the Buddhas. The Buddha is also realizing one's own mind, and there is nothing else to meditate on apart from that. The yidam deity is also an appearance of the mind. There is nothing to accomplish and meditate on separately, so all the Buddhas are included in the yidam deity. Even if one meditates on many yidam deities, it is an appearance of the mind. Even if one meditates on one deity, it is an appearance of the mind. These are the oral instructions that combine with the deity and apply the meaning of the deity, so it is said. Jomo asked the master: How to take the deity into the path and how to practice? The master said: To practice the deity, first become familiar with the deity in front, then rely on the object of meditation of visualizing oneself as the deity, and before that, abandon recitation. Then set up the mandala for practice and arrange the offerings. Sit comfortably on your own seat. Place the supports in front and invite all the gurus, yidams, and mandala deities, and perform prostrations, offerings, praises, and the eight-limbed practice. The deity dissolves into light and merges into oneself, so generate oneself as the yidam deity. Cut off the boundaries. Bless the offerings. Generate the mandala and deities with the three samadhis and so on. Bestow empowerment and blessings. Invite the wisdom being and merge it, and perform prostrations and offerings of praise. Invite the wisdom being to the front and do japa (Sanskrit Devanagari: जप, Sanskrit Romanization: japa, Tibetan: ཛཔ྄་, literal meaning: recitation). After completing the recitation, offer praise. Merge the wisdom being in front into oneself and sleep with the pride of oneself as the deity. In the morning, generate oneself as the deity in an instant, and as before, straighten the posture and recite. Bless the food and drink and offer the essence of the tsok. Combining with the same body ornament is also practiced in this way, so it is said. Jomo asked the master: After practicing the deity, how do the signs and characteristics of accomplishment appear? The master
