Wandering in samsara. TsoGyal said that there would be no peace if this demon was not subdued. Who can stop this "I"? In general, all Buddhists can stop it. In particular, the Shravakas of the Hinayana can also stop it. TsoGyal said that for those of us who have entered the gate of the Mahayana, what need is there to even mention not clinging to the self of a person? As for the absence of a self of phenomena, the Shravakas only understand it partially, and those who want to become Pratyekabuddhas without truly understanding it do so because the Shravakas misunderstand the self of phenomena and acknowledge inanimate objects; the Pratyekabuddhas believe that knowledge is wrong and cling to the empty nature of mind. TsoGyal said that the correct meaning cannot be seen until one is free from the views of inferior schools. The fault of clinging to that is: from the aspects of clinging and acknowledging, afflictions arise, which become the cause of wandering in samsara, so even if one strives for countless kalpas, it is a futile activity. Who can stop it? All Mahayana practitioners can stop it, especially the Madhyamikas can also stop it. TsoGyal said that for those of us who have entered the gate of the Secret Mantra, it is an ominous sign to cling to sectarian biases. Tenth, the Dharma to be protected is: to train in the meaning of selflessness. This is divided into two: First, the protection of aspiration is: to constantly aspire that all sentient beings may realize the meaning of selflessness, and to continuously pray. Second, to rejoice in the merits of those who meditate on the meaning of selflessness three times a day and three times at night. TsoGyal said that it is very important to strive not to stray from the meaning of selflessness. Second, the protection of entering is divided into two: outer and inner. First, the four outer protections are: until the meaning of selflessness is realized, do not leave the Lama, the spiritual friend who can teach it. Second, abandon prejudices such as place of residence, sect, enemies, and friends. Third, listen, contemplate, and meditate on the Dharma that teaches selflessness and emptiness. Fourth, do not cling to name, lineage, and body as "I". TsoGyal said that second, there are also four inner practices: do not cling to external labels and terms, because they do not arise from the essence of mind. Do not cling to all things contained in the environment and beings as real.

These appear like dreams, but understand that their nature is unestablished, this is the second. Thus, although unestablished in any way, the mind's awareness that grasps at various things should be sought three times during the day and three times during the night, this is the third. When searching, the mind that grasps from within is not found anywhere, and it does not deviate from the meaning of entering into the nameless, utterly empty state, this is the fourth, and it is crucial to strive and train in this. If you strive in this way, the evil spirits will be cut off at the root, and the stream of samsara will be reversed, it is said. Eleventh, the boundary between giving up and gaining: The time of gaining is from the time of receiving the instructions from the lama. The time of giving up is when you have not realized the absence of inherent existence, and if you follow after the self-talk of grasping and being grasped, you will lose it, so stop it with an antidote, it is said. Twelfth, if you decline, the means of restoring it: Train without straying from the previous meaning. The knot of grasping and being grasped will loosen on its own, it is said. Jomo asked the master: Third, how should I train in generating the secret mind? The master said: There are eleven aspects to this. First, the essence of generating the secret mind: From the beginning, it is beyond effort and activity, free from the limits of thought and expression, and continuously knowing the absence of both arising and ceasing. Second, the definitive word: Such a thing is indicated by words and is beyond being thought about by the mind, so it is naturally kept secret from those of the lower vehicles. Third, the distinction: There are two types: those who want to meditate on pure one-sidedness, and those who want to meditate on self-existing spontaneous accomplishment, the unmeditated, primordial Buddhahood. However, it is necessary that it not be interrupted anywhere, it is said. Fourth, the characteristics of the individual who enters into this: the faculties must be very intelligent and have faith in the true Dharma. The master said: If there is no individual like Tsogyal (Yeshe Tsogyal, consort of Padmasambhava) who has previous training. Fifth, the object to be taken: It must be someone who has realized the single bindu of the Dharmakaya and abides in the vast expanse of freedom from activity. The master said: Tsogyal, if there is no master who has realized Dzogchen. Sixth, the ritual to be taken: At the empowerment of the power of awareness, abandon all the impure actions of the body, the activities of the world, and the pure activities of virtuous deeds, and abide like a man who has finished his work. Abandon the impure speech of the tongue, such as wrong speech, pure recitation, and repetition, and abide like a mute person eating sugar. The unrealized samsaric thoughts of the mind.
