and so forth, and practice. If the body is secluded, the mind is secluded; if the mind is secluded, virtue naturally increases. Dakinis and Dharma protectors also naturally gather, so there will be no obstacles, it is said. It is also necessary to have someone like Prince Kuntu Zangpo, who is not attached to enjoyment, it is said. Jomo asked: How is that prince not attached? The teacher said: In the garden of central change, there is a king named King Wooden Chariot Ten, and there is a prince named Prince Gewa, because he is afraid of the signs of birth, he is not attached to the king's incomparable precious palace, as well as the royal family, consorts, food, wealth, and enjoyment, but flees to a monastery in the forest and dwells there, thinking of the Dharma of Nirvana in his mind, and no matter how he tries to generate joy and lust, he cannot be seduced. In a place called Dartuni, there is a king named King Gewa'i Ö, who is skilled in means and possesses power. He is a friend of King Wooden Chariot Ten, so he asked him to be an important figure in enticing the prince. He came to the prince's residence in the forest and said: Alas! Prince Gewa, you! Having abandoned your good and prosperous home, you are taking the land of demons under the tree. Are you being deceived by demons or are you destined to be mad? You are very confused, please listen to me! Accept the law of the country and there is also the Dharma! So he said. The prince said: The teachings spoken by the king, although spoken with a compassionate heart, but they are contrary to my thoughts. Practicing the Dharma alone in a secluded place, the king's palace is like a dilapidated anthill, and I have no attachment to it. So he said. The king said again: Even if you do not hold the reins of government, you can still practice the sacred Dharma while living in the palace. So he said. The prince replied: There are many household affairs of samsara, and one always experiences the suffering of afflictions. The home is like a nest of snakes, and it is always painful like a prison. So he replied. The king said: Even if you do not govern the affairs of the country, you can still speak the sacred Dharma in the palace. So he said. If you see the position of cutting off the path of practicing emptiness, then being learned and attached to words is like a parrot, accumulating merit and speaking of worldly Dharma is a place of compassion, but you cannot liberate yourself, nor can you benefit others. So he said. The king said again: Do not rely on large gatherings

Also! Possess enjoyment and give alms! After saying this, the prince replied: Although a turquoise lake bursts forth on a golden mountain, as wealth, contentment in one's own mind is best! Having possessions but being stingy, the mind of attachment is the cause of pretas, giving rise to the unsurpassed bodhicitta is best! Thus he spoke. Again, the king said: Although not relying on objects of enjoyment, rely on attendants and subjects, and enjoy happiness! After saying this, the prince again said: Although turquoise water floods the glorious mountain, women, attendants, and subjects are the ropes of samsara, the refuge of the mind is the unsurpassed Three Jewels, the best! Thus he spoke. The king requested: Although not relying on attendants and subjects, wear beautiful clothes on your body! After saying this, the prince said: A golden throne and beautiful ornaments, fluttering clothes, a great mind of attachment, arrogance, and afflictions are objects of compassion, one's own contentment is a coarse shroud in the charnel ground! Thus he spoke. Again he requested: Although not wearing beautiful clothes, have delicious food to your liking! After this request, the prince said: In the impermanent forest, tree sap, medicine, and essence, stainless excellent food, equal food is this nectar, delicious food of desire is without contentment! Thus he spoke. At that time, King Dewai Wo (Dge ba'i 'od) could not find any advice to say, so he remained silent. The prince said to King Dewai Wo: Hey, great king, please listen to me! Samsara is impermanent, the nature of illusion, a place where fools are attached and wise people despise, therefore I will go to a solitary place! The name of king, the kingdom is the practice of sinful deeds, this life is meaningless, like an illusion, like a dream, again constant suffering, wandering in the place of evil destinies, achieving liberation is the blissful Buddha, may the king himself also meditate on emptiness in a solitary place! After giving this advice, King Dewai Wo was satisfied, abandoned the throne, and together with the prince relied on practice in the forest, and attained complete perfect enlightenment and Buddhahood. TsoGyal (Yeshe Tsogyal, consort of Padmasambhava) therefore said: For birth, death, fear, etc., do not be attached to land, houses, children, wives, wealth, and enjoyment, relying on solitary practice is the most important! Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) said: Tsogyal, rich people accumulate wealth, wealth is initially difficult to accumulate, it must be accumulated through stinginess and meticulousness, for eating and wearing.
