The master said: "One should settle into equanimity with the three unobstructed, vast expanses of mind: the expanse of unobstructed, vast sense faculties like the sky; the expanse of the unborn nature of reality, vast and without clinging; and the expanse of wisdom, self-luminous, unmoving, and without an object." The master said that these three should be contemplated in their uncorrected state and settled into equanimity. Jo-mo asked the master: "How should one establish confidence in the fruition?" The master said: "Whatever arises is an example of mind itself arising as the fruition, showing that the fruition is not to be sought elsewhere. For example, images arise in the ocean, and constellations arise in the sky, but they do not arise from elsewhere; they arise from themselves. Similarly, one's own mind arises as the fruition, and the self-born and primordially appearing is seen as one's own nature. The fruition arises within oneself." Jo-mo asked the master: "How should one cut the root of conceptual thought?" The master said: "Conceptual thought is naturally pacified by three incorrigible methods of correction: the sense faculties are clear in their objects, so there is no correction; the nature of reality is unborn, so there is no correction; and conceptual thought is clear as wisdom, so there is no correction." Why is this? Because there is nothing that is not mind, so everything should be realized as wisdom. In this way, conceptual thought is clear in the nature of reality and is naturally pacified. Jo-mo asked the master: "How does one achieve the key point of not needing to negate the appearance of objects?" The master said: "From the teachings of the self-liberated mind, everything is clear, so six examples are given to show that negation is not necessary: 1. The sense faculties enjoy objects and are clear in the nature of reality, so negation is not necessary, like a precious golden island. 2. Conceptual thought is clear as wisdom, so there is no need to negate conceptual thought, like adding wood to a blazing fire. 3. In the nature of reality, there is no need to abandon things; liberation without abandonment, like a great garuda fully feathered in its egg. 4. Because there is no duality of meditative equipoise and post-meditation, there is nothing to settle into, like a bird abiding in the sky. 5. Because there is nothing that is not mind, there is no need to abandon afflictions or purify obscurations, like the essence of the sun cannot purify darkness. 6. Because objects and mind are clear as non-dual, there is no need to separate them, like there is no separation in the sky. Or, these are the spheres of activity of the six things that do not need to be negated, because negation cannot obstruct them.

Ka, clearly speaks of Dharmata. Jomo asked the master: How to make the essence of mind and Dharmata inseparable? The master said: With the example of six inseparabilities, it shows that mind and Dharma are inseparable. 1. Water and moisture are inseparable; 2. Fire and heat are inseparable; 3. Conch and white are inseparable; 4. Silk and the image of silk are inseparable; 5. Gold and gold ornaments are inseparable; 6. Samsara and Nirvana are inseparable. Likewise, all dharmas and sentient beings are inseparable in the state of one great bindu. Not distinguishing between existence and non-existence, it is clear in the mind, so it is actual wisdom. Dharma is also mind, and mind is also Dharma, inseparable and not different. Jomo asked the master: How to make the analogy of the spontaneous arising of appearances and existence? The master said: With the six examples of no before and after, it shows the wisdom of the spontaneous arising of appearances and existence. Like the above six examples of water, etc., there is no difference and no before and after. Likewise, all the dharmas of appearances and existence and Dharmata have no before and after. The great wisdom holder is self-born and self-manifest. Jomo asked the master: How to eliminate the eight obstacles and difficulties of the yogi's mind? The master said: The eight obstacles and difficulties that the yogi walks on the path of the mind are eliminated by realization. 1. Eliminate the difficulty of dualistic grasping and abide in the fortress of seeing non-duality; 2. Eliminate the difficulty of conceptualization and abide in the fortress of non-conceptualization; 3. Eliminate the difficulty of seeing and abide in the fortress of nothing to see; 4. Eliminate the difficulty of acceptance and rejection and abide in the fortress of no acceptance and rejection; 5. Eliminate the difficulty of grasper and grasped and abide in the fortress free from grasper and grasped; 6. Eliminate the difficulty of hope and fear and abide in the fortress of self-illuminating Bodhi; 7. Eliminate the difficulty of attachment and abide in the fortress of non-attachment; 8. Eliminate the difficulty of effort and accomplishment and abide in the fortress of spontaneous accomplishment. Abiding in the eight fortresses, integrate all dharmas into the Bodhi mind and eliminate them without acceptance or rejection. Everything is clear in the mind, eliminating narrowness, so it is wide and inclusive. Jomo asked the master: How to measure the degree of confidence in experience? The master said: If you believe in the three proofs, the experience is stable. After realizing the above meanings,
