He said that these Tibetans have the characteristics of an inferior race, the offspring of monkeys and rock ogres. When Jomo asked, "What are they like?" He said, "They are foolish and frivolous, have many things they cannot accomplish, have no compassion and like to kill, are ignorant of Dharma but diligent in sin, do not respect practicing Dharma but praise evil deeds, create confusion, are biased and partial, do not remember kindness, and do anything for petty gains. They do many things but practice little Dharma." He said, "All Tibetans cannot practice Dharma. No matter how I advise them, they will say, 'You are the one who does that.' All Tibetans will do less and less according to Dharma." The Master Padmasambhava said, "Having taken the appearance of monks, they do not accept the ten virtues that should be taken, but throw them behind their backs. They take the wives that should be abandoned and place them in front of them. They do not practice the Dharma that should be practiced, but abandon it. They take the deceit and trickery that should be abandoned. They do not think even for a moment about the karmic results and ripening that should be thought about. They only think about the commerce and profits that should be abandoned. When walking, they follow the burdens of horses and donkeys. When staying, they stay in markets and among crowds. When eating, they strive for meat and alcohol, and garlic and onions. When sleeping, they sleep with their heads buried in the breasts of women. Just seeing all this makes me tired. They are ashamed of Khenpos and Acharyas, afraid of people, waste the robes of the teacher, and are tired of the Dharma robes. Just seeing this kind of behavior, like carving the Dharma with an awl, is more disgusting than a demon. Those who pretend to be monks will have a karmic consequence in the next life." The Master Padmasambhava said, "Women become nuns, They do not keep the vows that should be kept, but protect the food and wealth that should be abandoned. They do not listen to the Dharma that should be listened to, but listen to the idle gossip that should be abandoned. They do not go to the monasteries that should be gone to, but go to the cities and brothels. They do not do the virtuous deeds that should be done, but do the weaving work that should be abandoned. They do not look at the mind that should be looked at, but look at the appearances born of attachment. They do not remember the ripening even for a moment, but shake their heads on the paths of people, kill Khenpos and Acharyas, cut the vows with a knife, sweep away virtue with a broom, deceive themselves, waste their lives, and carry the burden of sin.
