Ah, transcendence! There is no obstruction to becoming a Buddha, because the Buddha is also one's own awareness self-awakened; there is no falling into hell, because awareness is self-purified; there is no fabrication in the Dharma, because the Dharma-nature is self-illuminating. Because one possesses that great self-arisen view, it is determined that there is no need to seek it from elsewhere. Having thus understood the view, wanting to put it into practice, in the place where one dwells at ease, that is the place of the mountain hermitage of the body. Whatever appears in external appearances, that is appearance self-appearing; emptiness self-empty; abide in a state free from the extremes of elaboration. Therefore, appearances as friends, purified in their own place, taking appearances as the path and putting them into practice. Whatever thoughts arise in the inner mind, whatever movements occur in the heart, they have no essence, abiding in emptiness. The moving thoughts are purified in their own place. The nature of mind is clear, transforming the moving thoughts into the path, it is easy to put into practice. Whatever secret afflictions arise, looking at the afflictions, they are pacified in a traceless state. Afflictions are purified in their own place. It is easy to put into practice. At the time of such practice, there is no meditation on the meditation cushion. Because one understands that all are friends, there is no change of clarity or obscurity in practice. For the meaning of Dharma-nature, there is no interruption. In behavior, there are no limits of narrowness or width. No matter how one abides, for the meaning of Dharma-nature, there is no gathering or separation. At the time of such understanding, even though the body composed of the four elements ages, the Bodhicitta does not age. In age, there is no old or young. Because there is no partiality for the meaning of Dharma-nature, therefore recognizing that the wisdom of awareness Dharma-nature exists within oneself, therefore the faculties have no sharpness or dullness. There is no partiality for the meaning of Dharma-nature, because understanding it as non-existent, therefore there is no big or small in hearing. Even if the illusory body of material awareness is destroyed, the wisdom Dharma-body of awareness has no interruption. Because one has obtained unchanging stability, therefore there is no long or short in life. Thus he said. Old man, please put into practice this true meaning! Let the practice be integrated into your being! Do not confuse words and meaning! Do not be separated from the companion of diligence! Grasp it with the reckoning of mindfulness! Do not delight in idle chatter and dissolute talk! Do not be mixed with mundane mind! Do not let the suffering of children be too great! Do not be overly attached to food and drink! In ordinariness, contemplate death! Life has no leisure, generate diligence! Old man, keep this deathbed advice in mind! Thus he said, inserting the staff into the heart of the old man, and gave the instruction. Gave the old man the instruction of inserting the staff into the heart.

It is called Sapa. Ngok Sherab Gyalpo was liberated and attained accomplishment. For the sake of future generations, Kharchen Bza' wrote it down in the form of letters. It is also named "The Teaching of Erecting a Stake." Gya! Gya! Gya! Homage! When the emanation body called Guru Padmasambhava was invited by King Trisong Detsen and resided in Drakmar Palgyi Samye, there was an old woman named Tonza Gedenma, who was very devoted. She had a servant girl named Margongza Rinchen Tsho, and every morning she would add a pinch of raisin flour to each bowl of yogurt and send her to deliver it. Later, when the Guru was about to depart for Chimphu in Samye, she prostrated and circumambulated on the road from the gate, and then, with her palms joined, she requested: "Great Guru, Guru, you are leaving, and I, an old woman, am about to die. I have been born as a woman in this life, so my rebirth is lowly. I am distracted by work and do not remember the Dharma. Secondly, my intelligence is low and my wisdom is small. Thirdly, I am old and senile, and my mind is unclear. Great Guru, please grant me, an old woman, a simple, easy to practice, and meaningful teaching for the time of death!" Guru Padmasambhava asked: "Old woman, who are you?" The old woman replied: "I am a humble servant who sends a bowl of yogurt every day." The Guru was pleased and said: "You are more devoted than Trisong Detsen!" Then, he gave instructions to the old woman and her servant: "Old woman, sit in the lotus position and straighten your body. Relax a little and let your mind be at ease." Then, the Guru placed his finger on the old woman's heart and gave this teaching: "Old woman, listen! What is the difference between the enlightened mind of the perfectly complete Buddha and the minds of sentient beings in the three realms? It is only the difference between whether the mind has realized the truth or not. Because sentient beings have not realized the truth, they are deluded by ignorance, and various sufferings arise, causing them to wander in samsara. The seed of Buddhahood is within oneself, but one does not know it. That is to say, the seed of Buddhahood exists in all sentient beings, especially in those who have obtained a human body with leisure and opportunity. Moreover, the seed of Buddhahood is not greater in men than in women, and women
