The venerable one said: Karma and habitual tendencies, good thoughts and bad thoughts, what is to be meditated on and the meditator, all virtues are mind. All bad thoughts and those who do evil are also mind. Mind is unborn emptiness, without substance, empty. It is determined that it will not be tainted by karma, good or bad. Teacher, the nun asked: Is the precipice of the place of falling a thought or a non-thought? The teacher said: The essence of falling is one's own discriminating thought, the place of falling is one's own precipice, and the doubt of falling is the discriminating thought of the mind. Samsara is the illusion of the appearance of the mind. When one realizes that one's own mind is the great Dharmakaya, the six realms themselves are determined to be the pure land of the Buddha. Teacher, the nun asked: Does the view have bias? The teacher said: The view without fabrication is like impartial space. Everything is mind, and the nature of mind is empty. It is determined to be impartial, like space. Teacher, the nun asked: Does meditation have clarity and obscurity? The teacher said: The essence of mind is emptiness, and the nature of Dharma abides in immutability. The clarity of non-duality and unobstructedness is as bright as the essence of the sun. Even if it dims, it is determined not to be separated from the root. Teacher, the nun asked: Does behavior have acceptance and rejection? The teacher said: Behavior without acceptance and rejection is like a flawless crystal ball placed on a silk cushion. Whatever you do, the nature of mind is empty and clear. Whether good or bad, it is not established in the first place. It is determined that all appearances are self-arising and self-liberating. Teacher, the nun asked: Does the result need to be achieved separately? The teacher said: Because it abides in itself, it cannot be achieved. For example, like a precious wish-fulfilling jewel, all needs and desires arise from itself. All the great qualities of the Buddhas come from realizing one's own mind. It is determined that one's own mind is originally the spontaneously accomplished Dharmakaya. Teacher, the nun asked: Should external appearances be regarded as faults? The teacher said: Do not regard appearances as faults, because self-appearances have no self-nature. For example, the image in a mirror.

. Manifestations are without inherent existence, thus it is decided. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: Should inner thoughts be regarded as faults? The master replied: Thoughts should not be regarded as faults, for example, like ocean waves. Since one's own mind is emptiness, without wavering, whatever thoughts arise, it should be decided as the play of Dharma-nature. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: Is it necessary to rely on the roots of virtue of compounded things? The master replied: Since all created phenomena are mind, all compounded phenomena are impermanent. Dharma-nature is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning. For the virtue of compounded things, it should be decided as without effort. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: Does wisdom have east and west? The master replied: Awareness-wisdom arises in itself, and it is self-illuminating from the beginning. The essence is self-illuminating, without inner and outer. It should be decided that self-illuminating wisdom is great spontaneous accomplishment. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: Is there a distinction between cause and effect? The master replied: All sentient beings have the essence of Bodhi. They are Buddhas from the beginning. There is no distinction between cause and effect. It should be decided that it is not necessary to seek and practice now. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: Is it necessary to abandon attachment and aversion? The master replied: There is no need to abandon the five poisons and practice wisdom. There is no hatred for enemies and no attachment to friends. Because the nature of mind, the doer of all, is emptiness, it should be decided that the five poisons are naturally liberated. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: Is there good and bad in samsara and nirvana? The master replied: The nature of samsara is compounded. Compounded things are untrue and will be destroyed. The nature of peace is emptiness. It should be decided that good and bad are not established in the realm of emptiness from the beginning. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: How do the three bodies abide in oneself? The master replied: The nature of mind is emptiness, the Dharmakaya. Clarity is the Sambhogakaya. Unobstructedness is the Nirmanakaya. Since the three poisons are completely purified, it should be decided that the three bodies naturally arise in oneself from the beginning. The master said so. Jomo asked the master: Can the meaning of Dharma-nature be practiced? The master replied: If one realizes the meaning of the emptiness of mind, then on the Buddha ground.
