He accumulated much land and people, and gave great charity. It is said that in that very life he attained manifest and complete enlightenment. Tsogyal, if we also feel weary of the objects of enjoyment of samsara, we should give alms and make offerings to the lama and the Three Jewels." Guru Rinpoche said, "Tsogyal, the arrangement of the Dharma has been well established from the very beginning, and in order to overcome the eighty-four thousand enemies of afflictions, one needs a formation like the one disturbed by Prince Moonbeam." Tsogyal asked, "How should I do that?" He said, "In India, there was a king named King Moon Good, and his son was named Prince Moonbeam. The king wanted to entrust the kingdom to him, but the prince did not want to manage the affairs of the kingdom. The king said to the prince, 'Manage the affairs of the kingdom! I, the king, will fight with the enemy, and you must find a way to destroy the enemy's army.' The prince said, 'It is useless to destroy the enemy's army. It will be difficult for us to defeat the enemy, and a very terrible situation will arise, because the enemy's general is the 'King of Self-Grasping,' the army is the eighty-four thousand afflictions, and the weapons are the four great rivers of birth, old age, sickness, and death. They are coming to attack us.' The king asked, 'Where is the enemy?' The prince said, 'When holding various things, there is a king called the 'King of Self-Grasping Demon,' his ministers are the five poisonous afflictions, the soldiers are the eighty-four thousand afflictions, they wear the armor of the ten non-virtues, and wield the four weapons of birth, old age, sickness, and death. No one can escape.' The king said, 'How should we arrange the battle to defeat those enemies?' The prince said, 'You should consult the Teacher, the Sugata.' The king and his son consulted the Bhagavan, and the Bhagavan said, 'If you want to defeat the enemy of afflictions, you must make a vow with faith, establish the foundation of morality, ride on the horse of diligence, wear the armor of patience, build the castle of meditation, take up the weapon of wisdom, and cultivate the army of the ten dharmas.' The Bhagavan spoke thus, and the king and his son set out for the other shore.

By practicing the six perfections, one is liberated from samsara. Amazed by this, the gods in the sky said: For the army of impermanent demons, by setting up the battlefield of the six paramitas with faith, one is liberated from the enemy of afflictive emotions and samsara. Such a battlefield is truly amazing! They also said this. Tso Gyal (Yeshe Tsogyal), we also need to set up such a battlefield from the fear of birth and death, please teach us! Guru Padmasambhava said: Tso Gyal, among view and conduct, view is more important. If the view is certain, then whatever conduct one does, one will be liberated, because the view fundamentally liberates one. As long as a yogi has the confidence of view, conduct will arise naturally and unhindered. The example of view is like the sky, without bias and without reliance. He said this. Regarding this, there is a convincing story: Once upon a time in India, there was a householder named Anathapindada (Gönme Zeshyin, helpless almsgiver), who had two places of offering. Among them, the monk known as Immaculate, if the view is not certain, then whatever conduct one does is useless, he said, and only trains the power of the mind. The Great Black Practitioner believes that liberation can be achieved through conduct, so he performs various ascetic practices. The disciples of both of them also said the same to the householder. The householder asked the Buddha which of the two was right. The Buddha taught: If the view is correct and the meaning is realized, one will be liberated from the prison of existence. Conduct without view is like dogs and pigs because it cannot liberate. He said this. Therefore, if one acts according to the Dharma, the view should be as vast as the sky, and the conduct should be as inclusive as the earth. View and conduct must be combined. Guru Padmasambhava said: Tso Gyal, one must meditate on the fear of birth and death. If one can become a Buddha without meditation, even the Buddha has not said that. Meditation cannot be accomplished in a moment, a few days, or a few months, one must meditate for many years. The example of meditation is like a river, it must be continuous. Which is more important, meditation or accumulating merit? Meditation is more important. Regarding this, there is a convincing story: In India, King Rab Snang (Rab Snang, Light Manifest) had two places of offering. Among them, Upasaka Nima Wözer (Nyimai Özer, Sunlight) said that one cannot become a Buddha without meditation, so he only meditates. The
