E! It is said that having a low view on the practice of the results of good and evil karma; it is said that abandoning karma and its results is the intention of the Buddha. There will be a situation where behavior is reckless and unrestrained; those will lead both oneself and others astray, it is a wrong practice, so, for those, even for a moment, one should not follow, so it was said. I, TsoGyal, although a woman, a low-born, with shallow wisdom, but because of long-term reliance on the feet of the incarnate master Padmasambhava, occasionally I would hear some Dharma instructions; from diligently generating the Unforgettable Dharani (Tibetan: མི་བརྗེད་གཟུངས་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization:, Chinese literal meaning: ) onwards, for the benefit of future generations, I gathered them together and recorded them in writing; there is no place to spread them, I hid them as precious treasures; may I meet with the fortunate and karmically connected! The category of questions and answers and teachings, on the twenty-fifth day of the middle autumn month of the Pig year (suspected to be the Chinese zodiac year), was recorded in Chimphu Gewo-gang. Treasure seal! Sealing! Entrustment seal! Namo Guru! From the mouth of Master Padmasambhava: TsoGyal, when practicing Dharma, meditating in distracting places such as towns and villages, as well as the king's palace and the residence of the Sangha, and places where people gather and make noise, the mind will be carried away by distraction and will not want to stay there; if one is attached to towns or beautiful houses, retinues, and enjoyments, one's life will be exhausted without realizing it; at the time of death, one will also be bound by attachment, and be reborn as a wandering hungry ghost in the sky, harming the retinues and possessions that one is attached to; if one is attached to houses, one will be reborn as a creature in the foundation of the wall. Therefore, when practicing Dharma, one should live and practice in places like the Yalung mountains, snow mountains, and forests, like a lion living on a snow mountain; if the body is secluded, the mind will be secluded; if the mind is secluded, virtuous deeds will naturally increase; Dakinis and Dharma protectors will also naturally gather, and there will be no obstacles, so he said. He also said that one must be like Prince Kundu De, who is not attached to enjoyments. Jomo asked: How is that prince not attached? The master said: In the forest in the center of India, there was a king called Ten Chariot King, he had a son called Dewa, because he was afraid of inauspicious omens, so he was not attached to the king's incomparably precious palace, as well as the throne, retinues, consorts, food, wealth, and enjoyments, but fled to a monastery in the forest and lived there, from sorrow...

Since the past Dharma practices are already in your heart, no matter how much joy and delight arise, they cannot be recovered. In the land of Dartuni, there was a king named King Gewai Wo (Virtuous Light), who was skilled in means and possessed power. He was a close friend of King Ten Chariot, so he earnestly requested him to persuade the prince. Thus, he went to the prince's residence in the forest and said: Alas, Prince Gewa (Virtue)! You have abandoned your beautiful and magnificent home, and instead occupy the demon's territory under the trees. Are you deluded by demons, or are you truly mad? You are greatly mistaken, listen to me! Uphold the laws of the kingdom, and you can also practice the Dharma. The prince replied: The advice given by the king, although spoken with a compassionate heart, contradicts my own thoughts. I contemplate the Dharma alone in solitude. The king's palace is like a dilapidated anthill, and I have no attachment to it. The king then said: Even if you do not rule the kingdom, you can still reside in the palace and practice the sacred Dharma. The prince replied: The affairs of household life in samsara are numerous, always accompanied by afflictions and suffering. A home is like a snake's nest, forever painful, like a prison. The king said: Even if you do not govern the country, you can still preach the sacred Dharma in the palace. The prince said: If one sees that someone cuts off the opportunity for practice in order to pursue the practice of emptiness, then those who are learned and attached to words are like parrots. Preaching the Dharma of accumulating merit is an expression of compassion, but one cannot liberate oneself, nor can one benefit others. The king then said: Even if you do not associate with the masses, you can still enjoy wealth and give generously. The prince replied: Even if a sea of jade were to burst forth on a mountain of gold, for wealth, contentment of the mind is the best. To possess wealth yet be stingy and greedy is the cause of pretas (hungry ghosts). Supreme generosity is the arising of bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment). The king then said: Even if you do not rely on material possessions, you can still rely on attendants and enjoy happiness. The prince again said: Even if a river of jade were to flood a mountain of glory, women and attendants would become the bonds of samsara. The object of reliance for the mind is the supreme Three Jewels. The king said: Even if you do not rely on attendants, you can still wear beautiful clothes.
