Lhabu said: Golden thrones and beautiful, fluttering garments are the places of attachment, arrogance, affliction, and compassion. One's own contentment is coarse cloth, a graveyard garment. He said. Then he asked again: Though not wearing beautiful clothes, one has the delightful taste of food. He replied: In the impermanent forest, the sap of trees is medicine and essence. This stainless, supreme food is equalized food, nectar. The food of desire and enjoyment is without contentment. He said. At that time, King Gewai Wö (Virtuous Light) could not find counsel to speak, so he remained silent. The prince said to King Gewai Wö: Alas! Great King, listen to me! Samsara is the nature of impermanence and illusion, a place where fools are attached and the wise despise. Therefore, I shall go to a solitary place. The name of king, exercising royal power, is a sinful deed. This life is spent in vain, like an illusion, like a dream. Again, one wanders in the place of lasting suffering, the lower realms. Practicing liberation is the supreme Buddha of bliss. King himself, meditate on emptiness in solitude. Having offered such counsel, King Gewai Wö was delighted. Abandoning his kingdom, he and the prince relied on the forest to practice, and ultimately attained perfect enlightenment. Tso Gyal (Yeshe Tsogyal, consort of Padmasambhava, dakini) therefore said: Birth, auspiciousness, fears, etc., do not be attached to land, houses, children, wives, wealth, and enjoyment. Relying on solitude to practice is most important. Guru Padmasambhava said: Tso Gyal, wealthy people accumulate wealth. It is difficult to accumulate wealth at first. It must be accumulated through stinginess and meticulousness. They are stingy with food and clothing, and stingy with giving. Even when giving, it is only a small portion. Some accumulate wealth through trade and deception, fraud and deceit, and various tricks. This is also sinful. Therefore, killing sentient beings, stealing, robbing, and engaging in various evil deeds to accumulate wealth is extremely sinful! Even having accumulated wealth, there is great suffering: guarding against rust, protecting it, guarding against fire, guarding against thieves, fearing depletion, fearing it will not increase. Being attached to these, one is reborn as a hungry ghost after death. In this world, sons take away food and wealth, and one bears the sin and karmic consequences, falling into the lower realms. If there are no sons, all the wealth is taken away by others. One accumulates hatred.

Here, there is no more miserable place to go than falling into the lower realms, just like bees accumulating honey. Therefore, those who have wealth, should offer to the Lama and the Three Jewels, in this life wealth will increase greatly, and in the next life, one will attain enlightenment, just like the son of a householder seeking wealth, so it is said. Jomo asked: How is that so? The teacher said: In the central region of India, there was a householder named Gautama, who possessed great wealth and enjoyment, and he had a son named Nortse. After the son received wealth and established a household, he saw many people destroying beehives, people drinking honey, killing the larvae of the bees, some mother bees dying, some fleeing, some fainting, seeing this, he felt great compassion, and thought: My wealth is no different from this, the enemy's wealth, the demon's wealth being plundered, just like honey being taken away by others. Therefore, he thought of giving alms for the benefit of this life and the next, but fearing that his father would not allow it, he said: Great householder, what is the point of accumulating wealth? When we die, all the wealth will be taken away by others, just like a beehive being taken away by others, we will encounter enemies that cannot be defeated. The father said to the son: Where do these enemies come from? The son said: Birth, old age, sickness, and death will appear, white hair and wrinkles will increase, hands and feet will tremble, life is like a dewdrop, on the verge of death, breath is like a mist, about to dissipate, the mind is like a spark, floating upwards, enjoyment is like an illusion, about to disappear, in short, like a beehive being taken away by others, we will surely encounter the four great enemies that cannot be defeated. The father asked: Is there any way to defeat these enemies? The son said: The way to defeat these enemies is with the Buddha Bhagavan. Thereupon, the householder father and son asked the Buddha, and the Buddha taught: Samsara is impermanent, like a beehive being destroyed, clinging to permanence will lead to destruction, food and wealth are impermanent, after generating renunciation, one should give alms, offer to the Lama and the Three Jewels, liberate from suffering, and attain a place of bliss. The householder father and son divided all their wealth and enjoyment.
