大秘密咒中说，一生一世即可成佛，而且没有比这更快的成佛方法了。不要认为仅仅皈依一次就足够了，要断除这种疑虑，日日夜夜不停地皈依。必定能迅速现前圆满菩提。莲花生大师说：如果认真皈依，就不需要做很多法，因为没有失去菩提果的顾虑。大师对觉姆说：皈依的实际修持是什么？大师说：皈依的实际修持是：首先，我为了使一切众生安立于圆满菩提，为此积累资粮，清净罪障，遣除障碍，从现在起直到证得菩提之间，都皈依。这样发心后，不要散乱，口中念诵：两足尊中胜，十方诸佛陀，我与无边众，从今乃至菩提果，皆皈依。寂静离贪者，十方之胜法，我与无边众，从今乃至菩提心，皆皈依。众中之胜者，住于十方处，不退转僧众，我与无边众，从今乃至菩提心，皆皈依。首先念诵三遍。然后：皈依佛！皈依法！皈依僧！要不散乱地多念诵。大师说：然后是祈祷：三宝请救护我，脱离今生的怖畏！请救护我，脱离恶趣的怖畏！请救护我，脱离误入歧途！这样祈祷三遍。然后结束时：愿我此善根，为利一切众，成就佛陀位！这样回向。莲花生大师化身对觉姆说：请问如何受皈依？大师说：对具有皈依的上师，行顶礼和绕转，献上鲜花，这样说：上师

It is said in the Great Secret Mantra that one can attain Buddhahood in one lifetime and one body, and there is no faster way to attain Buddhahood than this. Do not think that it is enough to take refuge only once, but cut off this doubt and take refuge day and night without ceasing. You will surely and swiftly attain perfect enlightenment. Guru Padmasambhava said: If you are diligent in taking refuge, you do not need to do many practices, because there is no fear of losing the fruit of enlightenment. The master said to Jomo: What is the actual practice of taking refuge? The master said: The actual practice of taking refuge is: First, I will establish all sentient beings in perfect enlightenment. For this purpose, I will accumulate merit, purify obscurations, and dispel obstacles. From this time until I attain enlightenment, I will take refuge. Having generated this thought, without distraction, recite these words: Supreme among bipeds, Buddhas of the ten directions, I and limitless beings, from now until the essence of enlightenment, take refuge. Peaceful and free from attachment, the supreme Dharma of the ten directions, I and limitless beings, from now until the heart of enlightenment, take refuge. Supreme among assemblies, dwelling in the ten directions, irreversible Sangha, I and limitless beings, from now until the heart of enlightenment, take refuge. First, recite this three times. Then: I take refuge in the Buddha! I take refuge in the Dharma! I take refuge in the Sangha! Recite this many times without distraction. The master said: Then, make the following prayer: May the Three Jewels protect me from the fears of this life! May they protect me from the fears of the lower realms! May they protect me from going astray! Pray like this three times. Then, at the end: By this root of my virtue, may I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings! Dedicate in this way. Jomo asked the incarnate Guru Padmasambhava: How does one take refuge? The master said: Pay homage and circumambulate a master who possesses refuge, offer flowers, and say these words: Master
