It is said that even if one can live longer, life will be exhausted in days and nights. Today is gone, tonight is gone. One day is gone, one day is less; two days are gone, two days are less. Likewise, days and nights are exhausting, and I will not live long before I die. In general, life seems to be exhausted day by day, but people are calculating the length of day and night. The lengthening of day and night does not help my life. Again, Guru Padmasambhava said: People are not even aware of impermanence. One's own life is like a rudderless boat floating in the boundless ocean; the demon of the Lord of Death is like the waves of the ocean; oneself is like a tree on the edge of a cliff; the demon of the Lord of Death is like the stream under the cliff, constantly eroding; one's own life is like a bird feather stuck in a millstone; the demon of the Lord of Death is like the cold wind, constantly swaying; one's own life is like a wounded deer fleeing; the demon of the Lord of Death is like a hunting dog chasing. In general, people do not see the passing of their own lives, but grieve for the death of others. What is going on? The emanation of Guru Padmasambhava said: Tsogyal, people are not even aware of sudden impermanence. I asked: What is the situation? He said: Even if one can live to the proper lifespan, one will ultimately not escape death. Whether one dies today or tonight, one cannot be sure, and there is no autonomy. One's own body will also weaken and die. The body is composed of the four elements, and the imbalance of the four elements, namely wind, bile, and phlegm, will lead to death. The body is nourished by food, but indigestion or overeating can also lead to death. A swimming champion dies by drowning; a cautious person dies by falling; one dies from food poisoning or food incompatibility; a skilled horseman dies by falling from a horse; a hero dies on the battlefield; an upright person dies in prison. In short, no one can escape the various causes of death. One cannot even guarantee that one will not die for a single day, yet one is completely deceiving oneself. Guru Padmasambhava said: Tsogyal, one does not know when one will die from what cause of death; one does not know what cause of death will occur; life is unreliable; I will surely die. Young people are not immune to death; old people cannot escape; a hundred healthy people will die before one sick person; even if a serious illness is cured, one cannot escape death and disease from it; disliking death is of no use.

Death may come, but one does not die alone; even calling out "everything will die" is of no use. If one does not take a body after death, that is liberation; but there is no autonomy over the place of rebirth. Once one dies, only the karma of good and evil follows. In general, know about death. Knowing that there is good and evil, yet still doing evil, what are you all thinking? Guru Rinpoche's emanation said: TsoGyal will not disappear after death, but will be reborn due to karma. Karma has three types: good, bad, and neutral. The result of good karma is happiness in the heavens and other places; the result of bad karma is suffering in the three lower realms; neutral karma is like a rotten seed, unable to produce fruit. In general, the cause of being reborn in the three lower realms is bad karma and attachment. Among them, bad karma leads to hell; attachment leads to rebirth as pretas and animals. Once reborn, if one commits extreme evil deeds, one will be reborn in any of the eighteen hells. There, one will be burned in a burning iron chamber; walk on burning iron ground; enter a fire pit; a burning iron saw will cut the body; be struck by an iron hammer; be cooked in a boiling copper pot; be eaten by iron red birds before dying; rain of swords will fall; walk on a razor path; be dragged in rotten mud; be crushed between rocks; the tongue will be plowed, and so on, suffering unbearable pain. If one is reborn in the cold hells, there will be blister hells, burst blister hells; shivering hells; hells that crack like lotuses; hells that crack like উৎপལ་ flowers; hells where the body cracks like ice; and the Avici hell. The suffering of these hells is unbearable. The cold hells are less painful than the hot hells, but the Avici hell is the hottest hell. The suffering of the Avici hell is unbearable, so it is called the Avici hell. Those in those hells cannot die even if they want to, they will suffer and then be revived. The cause of being reborn in the Avici hell is committing the five heinous crimes and trading in the Dharma. If one mainly commits the evil deed of killing, one will be reborn in other hells. Guru Rinpoche's emanation said: If one commits medium evil deeds
