The crossed vajra or sword is unobstructed activity. Likewise, by practicing according to the teachings of whatever sadhana one has, qualities will arise. Second, the purity of meaning: Those too, since they do not exist as truly established, should be understood as being empty of inherent existence. Therefore, appearance is unceasing, clearly it is the deity; essence is unestablished, emptiness is utterly still; nature is clear and empty, inseparably distinct. Thus, by meditating on inseparability, the two accumulations are completed and the fruit of Buddhahood is attained. Third, firmly establishing pride without conceptualization or subsequent thought: One should think, "Whether clear or unclear, it is the deity itself," and there should be no ordinary appearances. Therefore, all the supreme and common qualities arise in this very life, because this is the generation stage, so it is definitely certain. The meaning of the inseparability of the generation and completion stages is: Taking the relative truth as the path is the generation stage; making the ultimate truth manifest is the completion stage; since these two are not different, not dual, the inseparability of the generation and completion stages is union. That is, all phenomena and beings, the appearance is clear without ceasing, is the Form Body; the essence abiding in emptiness is the Dharma Body; the nature not thinking about anything at all is non-duality. As soon as appearance is the Form Body, the essence must be the Dharma Body; as soon as the essence abides as the Dharma Body, the appearance must be the Form Body. By this key point, there is nothing beyond inseparability. Second, explaining the completion stage: 'Unborn, unceasing, non-dual, self-arisen, beyond extremes.' Therefore, the abiding nature of the ground emptiness, the way of abiding of mind itself, the essence of what is to be known, is not born as a real thing, does not cease as a non-thing, and is not established as different, it is the non-duality of birth and cessation. That is, because it is not born as a real thing, it is emptiness; because it does not cease as a non-thing, it is awareness; because it is not established as different, it is non-duality. Therefore, all phenomena are one's own mind, and mind is emptiness. There are five types of emptiness: self-emptiness, original emptiness, emptiness of inherent existence, total emptiness, and equal emptiness. That is, with self-emptiness, there is no object, it does not abide as a permanent phenomenon; with original emptiness, it is not something that arises temporarily, but is empty from the beginning; with emptiness of inherent existence, it is not made by anyone, but the essence is self-empty; with total emptiness, it is not a temporary emptiness, but the nature of all phenomena; with equal emptiness, the taste is the same, good and bad.

It is not. In short, the nature of all dharmas, the essence of which nothing is established, is like the sky. Because the radiance of that very emptiness arises without obstruction, it is called appearance. There are also five aspects to this: Whatever appears is one's own appearance, not something other. Because there is no obstruction, it appears transparently. Because there is no support, it appears freely. Because there is no fixed time, it appears uncertainly. Because it is not established in one direction, it appears in various ways. At the time of the fruition of Buddhahood, various forms, wisdoms, and qualities appear. On the path, during the time of the yogi, various experiences, samadhi, and distinctions of realization appear. As the cause, during the time of sentient beings, all the appearances of the six realms appear in various forms of happiness, suffering, faults, and virtues. In short, the key to the essence being nothing at all is that radiance arises in every way, like the magical display of the sky. Therefore, the radiance of emptiness appears without obstruction, and because the nature of appearance abides in emptiness, appearance and emptiness are non-dual. This is not inviting emptiness on top of appearance, nor is it establishing emptiness as the deity of appearance; it is not such non-duality. Rather, the nature of appearance is clearly present in the expanse of emptiness. The radiance of that expanse of emptiness is the unobstructed play of awareness, vivid and clear. Emptiness is the nature of the expanse. Clarity is the gateway of wisdom. Non-duality is the reality of essence. Again, it is not like inviting something on top of the unborn and unceasing, nor is it like establishing the unceasing as the partner of the unborn. Rather, the non-duality of birth and cessation is upright in the three kayas. In short, all dualistic concepts are gathered into the non-dual, primordial Dharmakaya. This is not like mixing water and milk, nor is it like blending flour and water into non-duality. It is also not that one becomes non-dual through realization, meditation, or understanding. It is also not that both are absent, nor that they become one, nor that non-duality is because there is no good or bad. Rather, the inherent nature, the way things are, or the reality of all dharmas abides in the single, non-dual bindu, so there is no separation. It cannot be separated. It cannot be done. It cannot be known. It is not separate, not different, without distinction; it is non-dual because duality is not established. Going to that original place is called realizing non-duality. It is called a realized one. It is called going to the original place of essence. In short, essence is not established in any way. Radiance does not cease in any way. The nature is not realized in any way. Characteristics are free from extremes. The meaning is the single bindu, because it is nothing at all, it arises as everything.
