Having been seized by love, compassion, and the mind of enlightenment, entering into the conventional truth by way of adopting and abandoning what is virtuous and non-virtuous, and in the ultimate truth, having understood the nature of reality to be free from elaboration. Through the gate of the union of the two truths, all virtuous conduct encompassed by the two accumulations and the six perfections is to be well-trained in as the discipline of accumulating virtue. By way of the four means of gathering, all thoughts and actions are to be practiced for the benefit of sentient beings, as the discipline of benefiting sentient beings. All the trainings of aspirational and engaging Bodhicitta are to be properly adopted and abandoned, and trained in as the discipline of abstaining from negative actions. Although there are many distinctions and collections arising from the precepts of the two chariots regarding the discipline of vows, the root is: Acharya Chandragomin says: "Attached to gain and respect, praising oneself and disparaging others, to those who are suffering and without protection, being miserly and not giving Dharma and wealth, not listening even when others confess, being angry and quarreling with others, abandoning the Great Vehicle, and showing what appears to be the true Dharma." And according to the Madhyamaka school: A king should keep five things in mind, a minister should keep five things in mind, an ordinary person should keep eight things in mind, and abandoning the common aspirational mind, etc., are all taught in the Compendium of Trainings, following the Sutra of the Essence of Space. In addition to that, abandoning the engaging mind and not applying virtue to virtue is stated in the Jewel Heap Sutra. These are also as stated in the Bodhisattvacharyavatara by the prince Shantideva: "Those who wish to protect their minds should diligently guard mindfulness and awareness. Even if their lives are at stake, they should not abandon them. I prostrate with folded hands in this way." As such, by not losing mindfulness and awareness, abandoning the four black dharmas, and adopting the four white dharmas, etc., strive to protect the mind of enlightenment without letting it diminish, as advised. Fifth, the empowerment of the general collection of the three families of Kriya: If making a break with the previous one, then bathe. Clearly establish the generation of the mind of enlightenment. Here, in the Heart Drop of the Three Families, it says: Among the vehicles that rely mainly on external asceticism and realize the inner suchness, there are also three categories. The first is from the tantra: "Holding the three families is holding the secret mantra." This is the fifth teaching, the practice of the three families that has become common to Action and Performance.

In this abbreviated empowerment, all that is appropriate for me to do has been completed. You, as disciples, in order to become a part of it, first offer a mandala as a fee. Have them offer it. With palms together and holding flowers, please repeat this prayer: Holders of the lineage of body, speech, and mind, Sons of the Victorious Ones, compassionate ones, I take hold of all vidya mantras, Bless me with the blessings of body, speech, and mind. Repeat this three times. Then, for the sake of the actual empowerment, please visualize as follows. Holding the vase, the three-family protectors, deities of the mandala, hold a precious vase filled with the nectar of wisdom and perform the bathing, so that all sins, obscurations, habitual tendencies, diseases, and demonic influences of body, speech, and mind are purified and cleansed. Meditate that all the blessings of the three-family bodhisattvas enter your mindstream. Om, in the auspicious and virtuous vase, Filled with the great nectar of wisdom, By bathing the fortunate disciples, May all impurities be purified. Oṃ sarva tathāgata abhiṣekāya te samaya śrīye hūṃ. In this way, empower and bathe with the vase. Give the vase water. Then, in order to entrust the wisdom of mantra, with the intention that the disciples offer a garland of flowers to the deity, while scattering flowers to the Vajra Master, repeat this: I beseech the Blessed One to hold me, I beseech you to lead me into it. Say this three times. From the heart of the deity in front, a second mantra garland arises. It comes out from the mouth. Meditate that it enters from your ears and dissolves into your heart, and repeat this mantra. In this way, have (the disciples) repeat the heart mantra three times. May the flowers be blessed as a garland of mantras, and by binding it on the crown of the head, may all the activities of vidya mantra be accomplished without hindrance. I beseech the Blessed One to bestow this, I beseech you to lead this into it, I beseech you to grant the accomplishment of mantra, I beseech you to make the vows firm. May all the blessings of the speech vidya mantra of the three-family protectors enter and be firm in the mindstreams of these vidyadharas. Tiṣṭha vajra. Place the flower on the crown of the head. Place the precious crown on the crown of the head, and by bestowing the fluttering silk pendants and the upper and lower garments, become a son of the victorious ones lineage.
