Through habituation, the limits of the maturation of the wisdom of the dharmadhatu disappear, and the nature of the five lights extends upwards, radiating light, with semi-netted lotuses and multi-eyed patterns, sun and moon palaces, etc., appearing to fill all the pure lands. The bindus also gradually increase in size from the size of a lentil to the size of a mirror, a bowl, and a shield. The continuum of awareness also gradually increases, becomes clearer, and more stable, from the size of a shooting star to the size of a bird flying quickly, to the size of a wild animal running on a ridge, to the size of a Sharana running slowly or a bee circling nectar. Within the bindus, half-body images or single bodies of Vajrasattva and others appear and remain motionless. Third, the appearance of wisdom reaching its limit is: the appearance of the dharmadhatu expands to everything, so the appearance of the four elements returns to its place. The appearance of clear light is that within each limitless dharmadhatu bindu, mandalas of five sets of five families of Buddhas (Vairochana, etc.) appear, filling the sky. From these mandalas, the appearance of light rays appears to be connected to one's own body, and even if one does not practice, it reaches its limit, so it does not change. External appearances are liberated into clear light, so appearances with elaboration disappear. Internal illusory body is liberated into clear light, so grasping at contaminated aggregates disappears. Secret is that mind itself dissolves into clear light, so mistaken appearances disappear, and the connection of karmic imprints is severed. Thus, having reached the limit, it is permissible not to practice temporarily, and ultimately one recognizes the Sambhogakaya, so one can enjoy the Sambhogakaya realm. Fourth, the appearance of the exhaustion of dharmata is: by fixing the three lamps of the far-reaching water, the empty bindu, and the pure dharmadhatu without moving, self-awareness is clear, so realization naturally arises. By seeing the appearance of the exhaustion of dharmata, the lamp of self-born wisdom, one turns the mind away from attachment to body and wisdom. External experiences of appearances increase and decrease, internal illusory body's dharma is exhausted, secret is that thoughts of conceptualization are exhausted, so all mistaken appearances are self-purified, and the mind that grasps at appearances and non-appearances disappears, and one is free from the concept of samsara and nirvana. One cannot be overcome by the enemies of the elements. The appearance of going and staying disappears. There is no obstruction to clairvoyance. From the aspect of compassion, the appearance of wisdom is clear without ceasing. The aggregates do not return, and after becoming a Buddha, one achieves the great transference with a rainbow body like the moon in water.

It will become the cause of awareness. Third, explaining the instructions on stabilization. In "Vast Clarity," it says, "There are four types of stabilization instructions; they are indispensable for the former." As it says, there are four here: establishing the foundation on the three immovables; measuring with the three stillnesses; fixing with the three attainments; and showing the temperature of the four confidences. First, the key to the body is to be immovable from the three postures: if the body is not moved, the channels are not moved; if the channels are not moved, the eyes are not moved; if the eyes are not moved, the wind is not moved; if the wind is not moved, the mind is not moved; if the mind is not moved, the moving thoughts will cease, so it is necessary to abide in awareness. The key to the eyes is to be immovable from the three ways of looking: the key to awareness is the channels, the key to the channels is the door, and the key to the door is the lamp. If the channels are not moved, the eyes are not moved; if the eyes are not moved, the lamp is not moved; therefore, if the mind is not moved, conceptual thoughts will not arise; therefore, it is necessary for the dharmadhatu awareness to be inseparable. Second, measuring with the three stillnesses: by constantly looking at the dharmadhatu awareness, three stable measures of stillness will arise: when the wind of external appearances ceases, the dharmadhatu awareness will abide without coming or going; when the wind that moves the internal aggregates ceases, the body will abide without moving; when the wind that moves the secret thoughts ceases, the mind will abide without the possibility of conceptual thoughts moving. At this time, there are two situations: measuring with dreams, and signs appearing in the three doors. That is, for the superior practitioner, dreams dissolve into the dharmadhatu and are not dreamed; for the intermediate practitioner, clear light appears; for the inferior practitioner, dreams are known as dreams. Signs appear in the three aspects of body, speech, and mind: in the four appearances, there are four signs, totaling twelve. First, the three signs of directly seeing the nature of reality are: the body is like a turtle placed in a wooden trough, without action or movement; the speech is like a mute, unwilling to speak; the mind is like a bird tied with a rope, not scattered but abiding. Second, the three signs of increasing experience are: the body is like a person afflicted with illness, devoid of cleanliness and decorative adornments; the speech is like a madman, speaking meaningless nonsense; the mind is like a person affected by poison, determined not to return to samsara. Third, the three signs of awareness reaching its measure are: the body is like an elephant stuck in mud, silent.
