Look! Sidelong glances and guidance are extremely precious! From the rays of light of the body shining forth, manifest appearances will spread. At first, like smoke, like clouds; in the middle, moisture and rainbows arise. At first, like threads; like meteors and moisture; like lightning and silk; like strings of many eyes; shimmering white and red; any color of blue will appear. Then, growing upwards, countless tiny dots will appear. At first, a pale thread; movement and interweaving will occur. Then, the bindus will gradually enlarge, as big as hand drums or parasols, surrounded by rainbow-colored five-colored lights will appear. Then, connected like strings of pearls, they will remain without movement or interweaving. Inside that, unimaginable sitting cushions and thrones. In the inner essence of those, Amitabha and Vajrasattva, with Orgyen Padmasambhava as the main one, unimaginable assemblies of deities will appear. Furthermore, peaceful assemblies of deities, and various images such as the six realms will appear. Light and rays of light will appear with radiance. At the time of such appearances, the conceptualizations of outer appearances will cease; the movements of the inner mind will cease; in between, the awareness of memory and perception will be lost; the dimension and awareness will become mixed. At that time, the awareness of food and drink will be lost; the appearance of the exhaustion of the nature of reality will be seen. All the unobstructed ways of awareness, like gathering the tent ropes of a yak tent, the nature of reality will be quickly gathered into awareness. The attachment to what is seen and the seer will be lost; contaminated things will not appear, and enlightenment will be manifestly attained. The irreversible Samantabhadra, will be liberated into the original Samantabhadra. Best is three years, intermediate is four years, worst is five years to be liberated. There is no doubt that the rainbow body will be accomplished. This instruction, whoever encounters it, is the lord of all the Buddhas. Like me, Padmasambhava, this essence of the heart of Samantabhadra, the final rebirth of the clear lamp is, a man named Handsome Life. For the sake of that fortunate one, Tsogyal, you write it down. In auspicious and secluded places, on flat and clean ground, build a two-story or three-story house. There should be good ventilation underneath, and keep it extremely dark. Above the crown of the head, make a hole the size of an arrow, cover it with a yak's tail, as a place for the heat from the top of the head to escape.
