Firstly, it is crucial that such realization does not fall into similarity and error through experience. This is because the way self-appearance manifests, its awareness is a momentary change, like the tip of a hair moved by the wind. If one does not have a thorough understanding through personal experience, one needs a lama with experiential knowledge. There are cases where realization has not arisen but is mistakenly identified, and cases where it has arisen but is not identified and remains in the realm of experience. There are also cases where it is identified too early as it arises, remaining in the realm of understanding, so it is very difficult. Identifying similarity and error is: first, roughly forming preconceived notions, and secondly, determining the subtle details of a moment in samadhi in the mind, these two are similarity and error. Because of clinging to realization, entering a self-peaceful non-conceptual state is a deviation, and the momentary thought being grasped by mindfulness, that is not realization that needs to abide, but realization that arises beyond thought, these two are similarity and error. Understanding thoughts as free from elaboration, causing the thought to become the understander without an object, and the nature of the moment appearing as self-luminous, causing the realm of samsara and nirvana to be exhausted, these two are great similarity and error. Therefore, the above must be decided. Without falling into these similarities and errors, one must certainly realize, and identify it in accordance with the Buddha's words and treatises. Secondly, the actual identification without error is: when your mind is left uncorrected in its own state, thoughts naturally subside, and the mind naturally abides, doesn't it? That is called shamatha (止,calm abiding). Now most of the so-called practitioners practice there. They themselves are confused and show that to others, many, so it is a little impossible to practice. That is also indispensable. Look at the nature of the mind that abides, and in that state, without dullness, without non-specification, without equanimity, but such is the nature of the mind. There is no need to do anything, no need to say anything, no need to think anything, no need to express words, there is no grasping, although there is no grasping, there is clear and uninterrupted awareness, bright, naked, and open, that is the visible of the unseen, the experienceable of the unexperienced, there is a kind of awareness, there is an unspeakable clarity without grasping, isn't there? That is called vipassana (观,insight). Although these two come before and after in words, they are not different in meaning, and they are complete in the moment of practice, that is practice.

This is called immaculate birth. When the mind looks at itself, this empty and clear state of one's own mind, which is not established as any object, shape, or color, is called the wisdom of unborn emptiness of essence. The power of the mind's unborn emptiness, which is naturally clear and unobstructed, and clearly manifests everything, is called the wisdom of naturally clear essence. The essence of the mind's unborn nature is emptiness, not established as anything, and the power is unobstructed, manifesting in various ways. These two are only different in name and words, but in reality, it is the non-dual awareness, the wisdom of compassion that pervades all. This moment of awareness is not established as any shape or color, so it is free from the extreme of permanence. Likewise, the clarity is not made by anyone, but is naturally clear, so it is free from the extreme of annihilation. There is no arising from this time, nor arising from this cause, so it is free from the extreme of arising. There is no death or cessation of the mind from this time, so it is free from the extreme of cessation. Although it does not exist, the power of non-cessation manifests in everything, so it is free from the extreme of one. Although it appears in various ways, it is liberated in selflessness, so it is free from the extreme of many. This is called the Middle Way view free from extremes. The one who understands, the one who experiences, the one who sees, the meditator, the practitioner, the knower, in that very instant, he recognizes himself without going anywhere else. This is called Prajnaparamita. Whatever arises from the appearances of the six consciousnesses, there is no need for mental acceptance or rejection, denial or affirmation, fabrication or modification. The union of appearance and emptiness is realized, and each moment is known in its own place and in its own way. This is called Mahamudra. Whatever unmixed appearances of samsara and nirvana arise in one's own mind, at the very moment of their arising, the essence of awareness is complete in that instant. This is called Dzogchen. All the defilements of thoughts, habitual patterns, mind, and mental factors are ceased, gone, or purified, and awareness and wisdom are stainless, realizing the primordial purity of the Dharmakaya. This is called the view of Trekchö, the breakthrough of the fundamental ground. From the perspective of the essence of the moment, there is not even the name of ignorance, so it is co-emergent wisdom, Dharmata, Parinishpanna, Tathata, Paramartha, Tathagatagarbha, Dhatu Svabhavavishuddha, free from extremes, and union.
