༔ Vajra Māme Muñca ༔ Vajrī Bhava Mahā Samaya Vajra Sattva Āḥ ༔ Is this sufficient? After reciting one hundred and eight times, one's own nature of awareness transforms into the syllable Hūṃ, and the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) possesses a long and powerful resonance, penetrating all external appearances, both the container and its contents. Then, leave the subsequent awareness in an unaltered state for one day. Again, as before, after reciting the hundred-syllable mantra, the sound of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽) with its long resonance, penetrates the entire body, inside and out, from head to toe. Then, leave the subsequent awareness in an unaltered state for one day, which will differentiate between saṃsāra and nirvāṇa in speech. Hereafter, there is a necessity for speech not to revert to saṃsāra. Then, what precedes the mind is: From the tantra: "The mind, where it first arises, where it dwells in the middle, and where it goes in the end, examine well and settle. This differentiates between saṃsāra and nirvāṇa in the mind." As it is said, this very thing called mind is the root of all saṃsāra and nirvāṇa. First, examine where it first arises. Examine well from what the external and internal, the container and its contents, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa, matter and awareness arise. Once you are certain that there is no place of arising, then examine well where it dwells in the middle. In the external and internal, the container and its contents, you do not find a definite place where it dwells. Finally, examine where it goes. Examine where it goes among the ten directions, such as the external and internal, the container and its contents, saṃsāra and nirvāṇa. Even if you examine, until you are certain that there is no place to go or no one who goes, you must continue to examine. After all of these, relax and leave the subsequent awareness unaltered, and you will differentiate between saṃsāra and nirvāṇa in the mind. Thus, by doing this for three days for the place of going, dwelling, and arising, there is a necessity for not reverting to saṃsāra hereafter. Then, it is crucial to leave the three doors of body, speech, and mind in their own natural states. Again, from the tantra: "Then, the order of returning to one's own state is: The body is free from activity, resting in whatever is comfortable. Speech is free from activity, free from speaking and uttering. The mind is free from activity, abandoning distraction and engagement." As it is said, the body is free from doing and abstains from striving for a posture. Rest in whatever is comfortable and relax. Speech cuts off the continuity of all speaking and uttering, and remains relaxed like a mute person. Abandon all activities of the mind, all distractions of good and bad thoughts, and it is crucial to relax and remain without the movement of conceptual thoughts. Doing this for three days is extremely important. When the experience of returning to one's own state arises in this way, the lama should give introduction.

Thus, practice. It is said in the tantra: "The two eyes gaze at the empty space, without focusing, just staring blankly. The nature is pure, salé sing-ngé, and an inexpressible experience arises. At that time, point out the three kayas, and thereby unite with nirvana." As it is said, guide the student to a solitary and pure place, where the three doors of body, speech, and mind are free from inner and outer attachments. Sit in the lotus position with the legs crossed, the hands in equipoise, and the body straight. In a natural and relaxed state, the two eyes gaze at the empty space in front, without focusing, just staring blankly. From that very state, the unadulterated nature is pure and sing-ngé, and an inexpressible experience arises. That also has no origin in the mind, so it has no form or color, no birth, death, or change. This blank and staring state, which cannot be pointed out as being like this, is the Dharmakaya. The pure and sing-ngé state of that which cannot be found anywhere, which cannot be pointed out in this way, and which is unceasingly sing-ngé, is the Sambhogakaya. In the mind, there is no place to go, and no object to go to can be found. In this pure and sing-ngé state, the knowing awareness is unceasing, and this is the Nirmanakaya. Thus, these three kayas are not sought and accomplished by effort from elsewhere, nor are they expected in the future, but are pointed out on this very seat. Therefore, it is said, "Rejoice and be joyful," and joy should be generated. By pointing out in this way, there is a need to unite with nirvana. Emaho, like this, the supreme essence of the teachings, the key to entering the unerring path, this liberation through going first, this unique and extraordinary dharma, was hidden as a treasure out of stinginess in spreading it.
