Thus, the realm of space is completely filled, and that will become even more excellent. Thus, externally, achieving self-benefit and acting for the benefit of others is like a king; internally, achieving both self and other benefit is like a minister; secretly, cherishing others more than oneself is like a shepherd, and one should act in accordance with such bodhicitta and wisdom. Third, the guidance on the practice and recitation of Vajrasattva, which purifies sins and obscurations, has four parts: what is to be purified, what purifies, the means of how to purify, and the necessity and benefits of having purified in this way. First, what is to be purified is all the sins and non-virtues of the three doors accumulated by the three poisons of afflictions in all lifetimes, and the two obscurations of grasping and the knowable. Second, what purifies is: The Sutra of the Four Dharmas says: 'If a Maitreya Bodhisattva Mahasattva possesses four dharmas, he will subdue all sins that have been committed and accumulated.' What are the four? They are: the power of complete condemnation, the practice of remedies, the power of reversing faults, and the power of reliance. Among the meanings of what has been said, the first is to regret previous sins as if one had been poisoned. Second, although the three doors are used for virtuous deeds, here it is specifically said to practice the visualization and recitation of Vajrasattva, who is the purifier and the source of bodhicitta. Third, it is to believe in karma and its results, and to vow not to commit sins even if one's life is at stake from now on. Fourth, it is all those who have previously taken refuge and generated bodhicitta. Third, the method of purification has three parts: preliminary, main, and concluding. First, visualize all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the sky in front of you and take refuge. Second, remember all sins and, in a state of regret, recite 'Whatever afflictions and obscurations of knowledge there are,' and make it clear. Visualize: On the crown of your own ordinary body, on top of a lotus and a moon disc, there is a white Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) that is clear and radiant. From that, the Bhagavan Glorious Vajrasattva, inseparable from the root guru, whose body color is as white as a conch shell, clear and radiant like a crystal jewel, with one face and two arms, the right hand holding a vajra at the heart and the left hand holding a bell at the hip, with legs in the vajra posture, adorned with silks and jewels.

Visualize him adorned with various jewels, sitting peacefully. Then, on the moon disc at the heart, there is a white and radiant five-pronged vajra standing upright, with a white Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable constantly appearing at its center. Imagine that around it, starting from the front, the letters of the Hundred Syllable Mantra are like the color of mercury, a shimmering gray, rotating clockwise. Confess all misdeeds and vow to uphold the vows from now on. Thinking that the Lama Vajrasattva is the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra in the manner of reading the mantra garland at the heart. From the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable and mantra garland at the heart, a stream of nectar, like the color of mercury, a shimmering gray, descends and enters through the aperture of Brahma at the crown of your head. Like a strong river washing away ashes, all diseases, evil spirits, and defilements emerge from the excretory and urinary tracts, and from all the pores of the skin, in the form of smoke, pus, blood, and tiny creatures. Finally, pray with "Protector, I do not know," etc. Visualize that all parts of your body have become like immaculate crystal, filled with that stream of nectar, and all defilements have been purified. Vajrasattva smiles and says, "Son of the lineage, all your sins and misdeeds are purified." Finally, visualize the deity Vajrasattva coming from the central channel into your heart and abiding there, and recite the mantra. Meditate that you and the deity are inseparable, and recite the mantra. Alternatively, meditate on your body as emptiness, and in the center of your heart, visualize Vajrasattva clearly as before, with a Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) syllable at the center of the vajra on the moon, surrounded by the six-syllable mantra, and behind that, the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Visualize the radiating and gathering of light, and accomplish the two purposes as usual. Or, visualize that all your defilements have been purified and transformed into Vajrasattva, and at the heart, visualize the Wisdom Being as before, recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra and the Hundred Syllable Mantra of Heruka, and practice the radiating and gathering of light. Third, at the end of the session, rest in the state of the three circles without objectification, and dedicate the merit. Fourth, the necessary purpose and benefit is that by practicing in this way, signs of purification of defilements will appear in appearances, experiences, and dreams. Therefore, temporarily become a vessel for the profound generation and completion stages.
