Objects and their containers, the emptiness of colors, hairs, characteristics, and forms, yet it is not non-existent. Unobstructed potential, self-luminous with awareness. One's own self-awareness is naked, bright and clear. The nature of this, which cannot be labeled as 'this,' is accompanied by definite understanding. Having thus thoroughly decided, at this time, the unique characteristics of all Dzogchen are to be forcibly established. In a secluded and pleasant mountaintop, or a grassy hollow, or an islet, or a green field, etc., in a place unseen by people, a high throne is placed, with layers of silk on the throne, etc. The lama himself is adorned with magnificent silk robes, etc., and a lotus hat is properly placed on his head. Above, an umbrella is arranged, and around, on the left and right, banners and victory banners, etc., are arranged as decorations. The yogis who are allowed to practice the generation stage do so like the lama yoga. A golden and turquoise mandala is offered to the lama, and torma offerings are properly arranged for the dakinis and dharma protectors. Then, the students develop unwavering faith in the lama, regarding him as the actual Buddha. They recite prayers and circumambulate hundreds and thousands of times. They recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra and prostrate themselves fully. After that, they offer the golden mandala seven times, the medicine mandala seven times, and the grain mandala seven times to the lama. They generate tears of devotion and continuously pray, striving in this way without interruption. After that, in front of the lama, all sit upright with their bodies in the seven-point posture, maintaining mindfulness. After praying to the lama, they receive the four empowerments from the four places of the lama. They contemplate that all the realization, blessings, and compassion of the lama's body, speech, and mind are instantaneously transferred to their own body, speech, and mind, and generate reverence from the heart. The lama also strongly focuses on transferring the realization and blessings of his own mind-stream to the students. Then, he introduces it with these words: "Oh, sons of noble family, leave your previous and subsequent thoughts and concepts undisturbed. Even for a moment, do not contaminate your minds with the discriminating awareness that seeks clarity. Do not be attached to the experience of clarity. Do not be attached to abiding. Do not be attached to moving. Do not cling to the appearances of the six consciousnesses as the self-appearance of naked clarity and emptiness."

Without fabrication, let the self-nature be clear and empty, nakedly abide! Let it be open and transparent, without place or thought! When clarity dawns, recite (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: pē!) three or seven times, etc. At that time, since the meaning of non-elaboration does not arise or cease for an instant, O son of noble lineage, the present nature of mind is self-illuminating and naked, without grasping, clear and pure, without elaboration, bright, and vivid. There, the function of appearance is uninterrupted, and the experience of not engaging in grasping is present. This naked and open state, which cannot be expressed in words, is also called the Great Perfection of the meaning of reality, also called Mahamudra, also called the empowerment of the function of awareness. Vipashyana, view, realization, trekchö. Although the categories of names are divided into many, the meaning is the original reality, the nature is completely pure, self-awareness is Kuntuzangpo, the essence of meaning is flawless, this is it. Now that you have recognized this, do not separate from practicing this meaning. Even when you have not realized this, it has always been abiding here, but you do not recognize your own face, and various thoughts arise due to sudden stains. Now, from today onwards, your karma is exhausted, you will meet your self-born face, and the Buddha is placed in your hands, so from now on, do not separate from this reality. You will definitely attain Buddhahood in one lifetime! Thus, it is widely introduced. This is like a poor person finding a treasure of wish-fulfilling jewels, because the self-nature is nakedly introduced, so you will enjoy the Buddha's intention. Thus, experience wisdom is used to widely introduce and must hit the point. This is very profound and amazing! Samaya! Then, as a preliminary practice for actually practicing trekchö, relying on vase breathing to distinguish the clarity and impurity of awareness: with the body possessing the seven-point posture, visualize the yidam deity. Exhale twice through each nostril to the sides, and then exhale once to the center. Then inhale gently and slowly, holding it below the navel. Slightly lift the lower air. The eyes look up from the tip of the nose to the sky one arrow-length away. Awareness focuses on the white A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Chinese literal meaning: Ā) shining brightly in the sky one arrow-length in front. Afterwards, exhale slowly. The lips and teeth are slightly separated, keeping it natural. Do that for two nights. That will regulate the breath.
