Moreover, one should generate unwavering faith in the Lama as an emanation, with the recognition that they are the actual Buddha. Third, blending inseparably with the Lama: That which dwells in the center of one's heart, in an instant, transforms into a blue Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,hum, seed syllable). Again, that very Hūṃ (ཧཱུྃ,hūṃ,hum, seed syllable) transforms its place, becoming a bindu endowed with five lights. When that bindu vanishes from the heart as light, it spreads extensively and dissolves into one's body, speech, and mind. The Lama's body, speech, and mind and one's own three doors mix indistinguishably, so that the blessings and realization of the aforementioned Lamas are transferred and attained in one's own continuum like filling a vase. In that state, relax without fabrication, Wang-nge, Shig-ge, Hrig-ge, and rest nakedly without artifice. Oh, the unadulterated awareness of such a state of mindlessness, the spontaneous clarity that severs the continuity of past and future thoughts, without grasping, is the very essence of the aforementioned Lamas. Therefore, this is called meeting the Lama of intrinsic awareness. Fourth, introducing the way to meet the Lama of intrinsic awareness: After continuously supplicating the Lamas with heartfelt yearning, blend your mind and heart indistinguishably with yourself, and by meeting the Lama of intrinsic awareness, Kuntuzangpo, you are free from the fault of relying on external blessings. More detailed explanations are introduced from the scriptures and treasures. This is particularly superior to all the common languages of Dzogchen. It is profound and wondrous, and if one cultivates it diligently, all blessings and realizations will arise in a leap. Samaya. The fifth general point, the essential instructions of Trekchö, has six aspects: First, determining the root of the three places of arising, dwelling, and ceasing. Second, forcefully establishing the introduction. Third, relying on the mandala of the vase breath, separating the pure and impure aspects of the winds and awareness, and seeking the flaws of intrinsic nature. Fourth, relying on calm abiding, seeking the basis of Trekchö. Fifth, relying on insight, observing the essence of reality. Sixth, relying on post-meditation, bringing the absence of elaboration to its ultimate conclusion. First, determining the root of the three places of arising, dwelling, and ceasing: For each one, practice both analytical meditation and settling meditation. First, regarding the place of arising of the mind, also contemplate by examining external appearances.

Outer and inner environments, earth, stones, cliffs, vegetation, forests, mountains, foothills. In short, from what did they arise? How did they arise? Examine the manner of arising with reason, Examine and meditate well on this. Then, again, examine your own body, upper and lower limbs, internal organs, inside and out, where do they all reside? How do they reside? Examine well. Then engage in settling meditation, placing the mind itself well upon yourself. This so-called mind, remembering what is not to be remembered, knowing what is not to be known, from where does it arise? What is its nature? Examine yourself well. In this way, the lama, knowing through miraculous wisdom, should thoroughly investigate all places of dwelling and going. Especially, those who are boastful and beginners should be decisively cut off. Furthermore, this mind itself, the true Dharmakaya, what are the reasons for wandering and being deluded in the six realms of beings? What is its essence or color? What is its shape and nature? Have it examined well. During these times, the lama should skillfully know how to ask questions and guide. Furthermore, how does the moving thought arise? From where does it arise? Is it established as an entity or not? If it is established, how is it established? If it is not established, is it emptiness or what is it? Examine well. Then, again, if it is established, what is its nature, shape, and color? If it is emptiness, how is it empty? Is it emptiness like the sky? Or is it a cutting emptiness like wind and rocks? Or how is it empty? Examine well. Then, again, are mind and conceptual thought one or different? If they are one, how do appearance and emptiness, abiding and moving, arise separately? When they separate, from where do they separate? From where does the root of delusion arise? Who made the self and other? Examine all these well. In this way, examine until a clear question of certainty arises. Then, the lama introduces that the first, the place of arising, is non-existent, that is Dharmakaya; the place of dwelling is non-existent, that is Sambhogakaya; there is no coming and going, that is Nirmanakaya. Furthermore, the unceasing power is one's own mind, the mind is emptiness, appearance and emptiness are non-dual, spontaneously accomplished. In short, all of existence, samsara and nirvana, are introduced as self-aware, self-arisen, self-liberated. Furthermore, the way of emptiness is also, it is not an emptiness without distinctions like the element of space, it is not a cutting emptiness like wind and rocks, and so on.
