I know that it arises from the mind. Furthermore, just by recognizing thoughts, without following them, but placing them on their own nature, they will naturally subside and become known in the mind. Likewise, by looking at the objects that will appear, and all the thoughts of the one who appears—the one who remembers. The outer container world, the inner sentient beings, one's own five sense consciousnesses, etc., whatever appearances of self and other arise, all are made by one's own mind, and realizing that they are nothing other than the way the mind's delusion appears, they will subside together in the state of equipoise. Even if that doesn't settle it, one should destroy thoughts with thoughts. Whichever thought is greater and more difficult to subdue, one should meditate on one that is even greater than that, so that the other is overwhelmed and disappears. But that is not going elsewhere. It is the liberation of one's own mind, so one will come to the conclusion that one's own mind is the source and maker of all thoughts. Even meditating more intensely is a temporary adjustment made by one's own mind, so by looking at its nature, it is immediately liberated. Until one has firmly decided that appearances are baseless and rootless in one's own mind, one should maintain the natural state and investigate. Once one has made a thorough decision, no matter how many thoughts arise, just as a crow that flies from a ship returns to the ship, since it is not separate from the mind, it returns to the mind. Even when thoughts arise in their own form, just as when meeting someone one has known before, there is no need to investigate, and since one recognizes it as one's own mind, appearances are recognized as the mind. If one does not recognize thoughts as one's own mind, then blocking them will not block them, abandoning them will not abandon them, grasping them will not grasp them, and even if one meditates for eons, one will not attain Buddhahood. Samsara and Nirvana, both move on the same common basis, and the momentary appearances arise from knowing and not knowing in the mind, and one is deluded by seeing appearances as other than the mind. By recognizing it as one's own mind without hesitation, it is the wisdom of awareness, that is, realizing appearances and mind as the nature of reality. Second, introducing the way things are on one's own ground. In the tantra it says: Thoughts are the self-nature of the mind; there is nothing that appears or exists apart from the mind. As it is said, since the unceasing way of appearing of one's own mind, unborn and empty, all appearances and existence arise. Since one grasps oneself as self, the appearances of the five poisons arise. By the radiance of attachment and aversion towards them, the body of the five elements is formed. By clinging to that, the five colored channels and doors arise, made of the five essences of the heart. Based on that

From then on, although the essence of awareness is only one, by the radiance of its root, The fivefold thoughts of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch arise. The radiance of its desire radiates outward, and when appearances are stirred, sentient beings arise. To this, due to clinging, the appearance of material objects with affirmation and negation arises. Not recognizing that these are one's own mind, Clinging to them as if they exist independently, the object of clinging becomes a bond, and thus one wanders in samsara. The tantra says: Apart from the mind, there is no appearance whatsoever. Therefore, all these appearances are recognized as the objects of one's own mind. Then, when all appearances abide in the mind, that mind, the master of all, how does it abide? Looking at itself, where did it first arise, how does its form and color abide in the middle, and where does it go in the end, does it stay? No matter how one looks, one sees and finds nothing. It is not that it exists but is not seen, but because the mind is unborn, therefore one cannot find the source from which it arises from this rootless and baseless place. Because it is without abiding, form and color do not exist in any of the ten directions. Because it is without cessation, there is nowhere to go without anything. Being separated from the three, arising, ceasing, and abiding, it is recognized as being like the sky. Thus, by realizing the nature of appearances and mind being separated from the three, arising, ceasing, and abiding, one determines the ultimate view. Recognizing it as the Nirmanakaya is: In one's own mind, six different appearances arise, and at the moment of arising, they immediately dissolve into the mind. Then, like the appearance of Buddha Shakyamuni from there, one generates any thought one desires in the mind, and it immediately appears there, which is called the Sambhogakaya of the path, because one realizes that self-appearance is the mind, one gains autonomy over birth and death. By practicing this, eventually the Buddha Nirmanakaya appears, manifesting in whatever way is needed to tame beings. Second, by meditating on it, experiencing the mind as definitively empty, and identifying it as the Sambhogakaya, there are also two aspects: establishing emptiness, and identifying it on one reality. The first is: Even if one recognizes that appearances are mind, if one does not realize that the mind is empty, because of clinging to characteristics, one cannot be liberated, therefore it is necessary to establish its emptiness. In a solitary place, maintain the posture of the body and the gaze as before, and in the view, recognize appearances as mind, and abide in the state of being separated from the three, arising, ceasing, and abiding, without anything to meditate on through thought and intention, without generating complacency that is not merely appearance, but abide in that state, without distraction.
